A 3D theatre just opened here and they are bringing back all the movies that were in 3D for us (Avatar, Alice in Wonderland, How to Train a Dragon, etc). Have you guys seen a 3D movie? How did you find it? Do you prefer it to the normal version? If the movie had the 3D version and the normal one, which one would you rather catch? I'm not all that keen on watching 3D movies really, I'm not sure why. It doesn't seem all that appealing to me. So I really, really hope movies in the future won't be just in 3D.

I've seen several. If the movie is good enough I don't even notice the 3D glasses. If it isn't boy are they annoying. I hate that all kids movies are in 3D and it can be hard to find them in not 3D - Ella won't keep the glasses on. Then the movie is blurry and unwatchable for her. I wish you could choose to wear them or not and have not wearing them not matter.
I would prefer to see most movies in non 3D. But I think big blockbusters I might be more inclined to go to the 3D version but it depends what sort of special effects it will have.

The only movie I've seen in 3D is How to Train Your Dragon. It was a cute movie, but there was really no need for it to be done in 3D. The only reason we saw it in 3D was because the show time we wanted was only being shown in 3D, but it hadn't said that online, so when we found out we'd have needed to wait until something like midnight for another regular showing. The theaters here (at least, the one I go to) will show the 3D movies in the regular format, too.

Hate it. I saw Avacrap in 3D and i can't tell you how many times i took the stupid glasses off because they were pissing me off. Don't plan on going to another one anytime soon no matter what the film is.

I don't notice a huge difference in most scenes, but some jump out at you and it can be pretty cool.

I think the only film I've seein in 3D was Alice in Wonderland. I thought it was awesome. Though sometimes I'm easily amused. It felt like I was in Wonderland! Wouldn't want to sit through a very long movie in 3D like Loz's "Avacrap" I started getting headaches towards the end of AiW so sitting through a longer movie like Avatar would probably get annoying.

I took Ella to one today, she was fine with the glasses. I had to tuck the ends into her ponytail so it didn't fall off, but she didn't fiddle with them or get annoyed by them. Neither did I.

I get annoyed by the glasses easily, but I wear eyeglasses already, so putting those 3D ones on top can be a bit of a nuisance. Once I get them balanced fairly well, though, they're okay for a while. I couldn't handle them for a real long movie, though.
