This is one movie I am very much looking forward to.

Plot Summary: Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It's while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Yeah sounds good from what I've seen and read. Chris is very pretty isn't he... I don't even care he was on Home and Away  That trailer led me to an interview with him and Natalie and they give him shit about being in Dancing with the Stars. He was actually good from memory! |

I've never really followed Thor so I don't know whether I would watch it. I didn't follow either Iron Man but watched that one. So who knows. I'll probably wait and see how the reviews are before deciding to watch it.

The trailer is no longer available  I will definitely be seeing it. I love the legend of Thor and I want to see all of the ones that will be connecting to The Avengers. |

Did you stay in the theatre till the end of the credits for the scene afterwards? Heaps of people left when I went  I think I commented in the movie thread at the time that I liked it. And that Chris Hemsworth is damn hot |

No it wasn't. It was directed by Kenneth Branagh. Joss Whedon is directing and wrote The Avengers. Not the same movie.

Saw it over the weekend. I thought it was alright. Nothing special. I've never read Thor so I don't know about the story. All I know was that he did something in his home planet and was banished to earth because of it. I was expecting a story where he was banished to earth and he had to live as a normal human being for years before he decides to be all hero-y again. You know, the whole "earth is in perile, I must save it, etc" plot. So the actual story surprised me. And he didn't end up with the girl! Shocking! |
