Can you cook? What are your best meals? Have you ever had a major disaster in the kitchen? Share I'm not a great cook, meaning I am a lazy cook. I can follow any recipe and have it turn out fine, and I can cook canneloni without one, but thats about it Once i start cooking I enjoy it, but I never want to bother. Heh.

Have I ever had a major disaster in the kitchen? More that I am a major disaster in the kitchen! I suck at cooking. I can follow recipes, but as soon as I try to get inventive, it all goes to hell.

Eh, I'm a so-so cook. I can if I want to but I'm lazy and never do want to, so... Following recipes is pretty easy for me but I've messed up a few before.

Any stories about these disasters? Only one off the top of my head from a few years back. And that was simply me misreading the instructions, and instead of "1 tablespoon of oil", I added a cup of it. I can't think of anything else, but there have been a few!

yep I'm a good cook, I was taught by my grandma so I can cook all the really good English family dishes. Its rare that I have any processed meals, I much prefer to make things from scratch.
My favorite recipie is probably a farmhouse chicken pie, its very yummy and packed with veg and chicken, and Xander loves it

I can't cook. I'm hopeless in the kitchen. I burn water! That's how bad of a cook I am. I'm hoping I would get married to a chef so I don't have to bother about cooking.

Well, I never burn water before. It's just a phrase to describe how bad of a cook I am. I probably could if I'm allowed near the stove.

Nah you'd boil it all away I've done that before, forgetting I have water boiling on the stove I'm trying a new recipe out tonight. Wish me luck

I love cooking. And i think i'm pretty decent at it I've never had any big problems or disasters. I am a bit of a perfectionist though. If something doesn't look right or tastes slightly different to how i want it too i'll chuck the whole thing out and start again I make up a lot of stuff which means i often can't replicate things and ever have them again even if they are good My specialty is a chicken thing with pesto sauce and 'The Lauren''dessert. Oh and my bizarre pizza which has ingredients worth about $50.

I like making lemon & garlic Chicken, usually its a lemon sauce, or for desert banana split with lime sauce, mmm, yummy. I like cooking any sort of chicken meal. lol Loz, what ingredients do you put on your pizza?, im curious now Im glad to say I have never boiled all of my water away

I can make anything with a recipe and some very basic things without one. Unfortunately, with my schedule I don't have a lot of time to cook, but I try to cook a meal for my parents and I at least once a week and give Mom and Dad a break from having to do it.

Must admit, I'm not a great cook (ok pretty crap) but I can get by. I think there are some basic rules to follow with some meals, that is to say you can make several variations of the same thing. I'm not particularly inventive but it's not as if I live on takeaways or oven chips or anything like that.
