I don't think we have a thread on this, but since we have one for soda, why not for beer?!
So now that I'm 21 and able to legally drink beer when I wish, I've decided to take up a new hobby: to be a beer connoisseur!
So which are your favorites and/or least favorites?

I don't drink beer much these days (pretty much strictly a champs girl) but my favourites would be: Pure Blonde, Corona (with lime, not lemon) Cascade Premium and Stella Artois.
Least favourites: Fosters (there is a good reason its nickname is CP in this country), VB (So NOT "Very Best" as my dad used to tell me when i was a kid) and Carlton Cold (had way too much of it one night and i'm tainted for life).

See Corona Extra was my first official beer as a "connoisseur" and I gotta say .. not a fan. I don't like drinking skunk.

If you want the best beers, move to Tasmania All of my favourites come from there. Cascade Draught is the best, and you can't get it here Or anywhere outside of Tassie.

Loz - I admit when I first started drinking beer I didn't care for it, but I've actually grown to like a lot of it. Mostly local stuff, though. Beck - ship some over to me.

I can't get it here Bre, and I don't know if I could ship it anyway! We'll probably get a carton or two of it while we are in Tassie as it is the only beer I really enjoy. I do also like Boags Premium but it isn't as good.

Yeah i've never had Cascade Draught. I like their Premium and Light though. It's the water in Tassie you see Bre. It just makes things better

I don't like beer. I don't know how people can drink it without cringing at the taste. I've tried a few different brands but they all taste the same to me - bland and bitter! I just stick to wine or mixed drinks.

Well I think beer is an acquired taste, like coffee. I don't know anybody who has their first beer and says "whoa! that's delicious!" It definitely grows on you though. I like Miller Genuine Draft Lite (that's definitely an acquired taste ... it's all we ever have at the house ).

I'm all for the beer. It's good stuff and not just for the boys of the world (yes, people look at me strangly when I tell them I love beer *lol*) Personally I adore: Heineken, Becks, Staropramen, Grolch, Carlsberg and Karl Strauss. There's more but these are the top ones ATM. When I feel like going for darker ones I usually go for Kilkenny or Guinness, but I prefer lighter beer to dark. Well I think beer is an acquired taste, like coffee. I don't know anybody who has their first beer and says "whoa! that's delicious!" It definitely grows on you though. Umm... *raises hand* I kinda loved it from the getgo

Dane, Most Beer tastes bad, the only reason you end up thinking it doesn't is because it gets your tastebuds shot!. They sell Grolch in Scotland, it's seen as a poor mans beer so we had it alot . My brother likes Budweiser. I have only ever drunk Budweiser, Grolch and Corona.

My brother likes Budweiser. I have only ever drunk Budweiser, Grolch and Corona. Can't say I agree on that. My tastebuds are just fine. Now if it was my brother or my dad you were talking about then I could see the point considering how much spice they put on their food. So weird how girls are usually the ones to shy away from beer. I don't get it. People get surprised when I say it tastes good and there's nothing like an ice-cold beer when it's hot outside!
