Walking the Amazon

I'm not sure how many people know about this but i've been following it for a long time A Brit by the name of Ed Stafford is walking the length of the Amazon river in South America, going from the source to the sea. He started on 2nd April 2008 and is expecting to finish in August 2010 (his post today said under a month to go so it looks to be on track). No-one has ever done what he is attempting. And yes its mental But extremely interesting.

Never heard of him. That's awesome though. A 2 year walk is definitely a record.

I don't know if anyone has walked that long before but they certainly haven't walked The Amazon!! He started with another guy but he wussed it and packed it in after only a couple of months. Then this local named Cho joined him has a guide for a section and then wouldn't leave him. I hope he's got a movie deal because damn, the shit they have been through, it would be a bloody good film.
