Bernie's mum cooked this meat dish for lunch yesterday.... the meat was goat. I wasn't hungry anyway so I didn't have any but I am not sure I would have anyway What meats do you like? What are you curious to try and what will you never try? I refuse to try kangaroo meat, the whole idea makes me feel icky.

My mum is obsessed with goat and rabbit SHe's a weirdo. I prefer chicken, but I also like pork and lamb. Beef is probably my least favourite. I like my steak medium rare. My dad had alligator in Louisiana! Gross.

I like my meat very well done. If there is any red or pink in it I won't eat it. I'll eat pretty much any kind of meat. The only kind I won't try is human meat.

I recommend you watch the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode "Mac and Dennis: Manhunters". Dee and Charlie get "the hunger" after thinking they ate human meat. But seriously, nasty ...

I love meat. I like to think of myself as a carnivore. My favourite is lamb. Don't think I have a least favourite though. I like my meat well done. Something about a still pink/bleeding meat freaks me out.

Would you eat anything like Rabbit, Goat, Kangaroo, Crocodile etc though Irene?
I won't eat anything that looks like it is bleeding or uncooked either. But I don't like steak or any other massive slab of meat. I'll eat roasts, but cutting them makes me feel a bit ick.

I wouldn't eat meat that aren't meant to be eaten. Though I have tried Kangaroo meat before when I went to Aus. I thought it was alright.

Anything that doesn't come from cows, pigs, chickens, lamb/sheep. Anything else, I feel aren't meant to be eaten.

That could make an interesting debate - why are those meant to be eaten and not other animals?

I have no idea. It just seems weird to eat anything else. I mean, would you eat a dog? No. Why? 'Cause it's just not meant to be eaten! It's hard to explain.

Most people don't eat dog though, because they are seen as pets. Whereas some of the less common meats are still easily found and eaten by a lot of people. Such as Kangaroo, duck, pigeon, crocodile (in the Northern Territory), rabbit, goat, etc.

Ah but it's not common in Singapore/Asia so for me, it's weird to eat those. If chicken isn't common in my area and hardly anyone eats it, I would find it weird to eat it. Those animals you've listed isn't seen as 'edible meat' by me.

Deer is really popular here. I've tried it once, it was OK, but I love deer... they're too cute to eat.

I like lamb, chicken, pork (but I rarely get to eat it). Beef is ok but I prefer it as steak, hamburgers or stirfry. I'm not a big fan of turkey. I've never tried duck, rabbit, goat, venison or kangaroo or crocodile. I might try duck one day but the rest, no thanks. And I like my meat cooked all the way through. I won't touch it if it looked like it can be brought back to life

I only eat Chicken, it's the only meat I can actually stomach. Steven will eat anything though, we cook alot of different meats because of that but thankfully he is happy to eat Chicken when it is a special occasion!.
I have found with meats you eat whatever is preconditioned in your head, I would never eat alligator, kangaroo, duck or pigeon because I have been raised not seeing those things eating commonly. So I guess it is partially cultural but I know many people that grew up with the same meats as me that would try anything.
I tried Bison on my first ever USA holiday. It was pretty horrible but I am a fussy eater.
