Pasta

I don't know anyone that doesn't eat some forms of pasta, so which pastas do you like and which don't you? Do you make your own pasta and pasta sauces?

I don't like seafood in pasta but I like most other things. My favourite is a carbonara. The type of pasta doesn't bother me but I'll use a spaghetti or fettuccine most of the time.

I love pasta. I eat a lot of it when I came to NZ. My favourite is carbonara as well.

I don't make my own pasta sauce whenever I make pasta. I usually use the store bought once. I don't have any complaints with those and it's a lot easier so why not use them.

I do make this awesome pasta dish with a creamy mushroom sauce and that sauce is made from scratch.

I have tried to make pasta from scratch but it always fails lol. I make my own sauces, I like a nice bolognaise

I like any and all pasta, unless there is seafood involved. My sister doesn't eat any pasta. She is odd. Very odd.

I've never tried making my own pasta. I'll eat any type without seafood. Spaghetti's definitey the easiest for me to make. I've made fettuccine rather successfully, too, although I struggled with the sauce the first time. Most of the time I just stick whatever pasta I have and whatever sauce is in the fridge in a pot and cook. I do have a new spaghetti sauce recipe that I want to try, though.

I haven't tried any seafood pasta so I'm curious why majority here don't like them.

Must try a seafood one sometime.

Seafood doesn't go in a pasta imo Bernie made one once and he was the only one that ate it. The kids and I picked at it with ewwww looks on our faces

Yeah, I'll do tuna, too. But with the exception of tuna, tilapia, and some cod, I won't touch seafood. So, whether it's in pasta or in some other dish, I won't touch it.

I will eat most pasta as long as it has no nuts and no mushrooms in it. I have made my own pasta, and I always make my own pasta sauces unless I am in a hurry.

I usually make my own sauces. If I run out of time I use mince with a jar sauce.
I love any type of pasta (except seafood). Lasagna is my favourite.

We use jar sauces and add mince, tomatoes and other stuff to it. The only pasta I make fully from scratch is a cannelloni.

So, do you guys think there is a taste difference between home brand pasta, and brand name pasta? I swear the home brand stuff tastes really starchy, but my housemates don't believe me!
