Anybody else watch this at all (I know Irene and Loz said they've seen it)? It went on for two seasons (a total of 24 episodes) on HBO back in '04. I LOVE it. I got both seasons on DVD and watched them both in a week or so. It seriously is one of, if not THE best show I've ever watched. You all know how much I love my Lost, but I will even go as far to say that how Carnivale captures the fight of good vs. evil is probably how Lost wanted to (but couldn't due to being on basic cable or what have you).
So if you've seen any of it, what do you think? If you haven't, go buy the DVDs and watch and discuss with me. ;D

I haven't seen any of it but I have heard good things about it. I might see if we can get a hold of it once we finish watching the Terminator series

I've seen the first season when it came out and bits and pieces of the second season. I enjoyed it a lot and have been meaning to get the DVDs to see how it ends. I can't remember much of it now as it's been a loooong time. Might make an extra effort to get the DVDs or see if any of the video stores rent them.

I have it but haven't watched it since it was on all those years ago on TV. Will get around to it. It just shits me it was ended so hastily. It was supposed to be six seasons, and we got two

I've seen the first two episodes so far and I am still in WTF mode Ben's attraction or interest in Ruthie seems a bit ew, and I have no clue what is going on yet. A few things were explained though in the second episode... will continue to watch as it has my interest at least. even if I dont get what is happening yet

I'm confused about wth is going on Obviously Management knows something about Ben and him and the preacher man are connected somehow. Both kinda give me the creeps though So does the comatose psychic.

Watched Babylon and the one after it last night. Poor Dora Mae How she was killed was horrific enough, but the why and her being stuck in that ghost town forever I wasn't even a huge fan of her character but it upset me. Ben's father (Scudder - I'm assuming he is his father, but it seems fairly obvious) is giving me the creeps now, was his healing power warped? I know Ben's he has to kill to give life, but sounds like Scudder killed all those people but kept them half alive. I dunno, weird anyway. So was the whole mineshift scene. While I don't trust Lodz at all I think Ben is the bigger moron in that equation, he clearly wants the help. So characters... who do you like? I quite like Samson and Jonesy, but the others I haven't warmed to a lot. Don't hate anyone though either.

You're right to have Scudder give you the creeps. You'll learn more about him as the series goes. Some pretty interesting stuff about him and those scenes that you see of his past.
I like Samson and Jonesy a lot too. I really like most of the characters unless you're not supposed to like them. What do you think of the whole priest storyline, Beck?

I'm not liking a lot of them yet, but haven't gotten to know them well really.
Father Justin on the surface means well, but he completely gives me the creeps. His power is a bit different but I am guessing it is connected to Ben's.

BRE you wanted to discuss this so discuss We watched the one with the lobster girl last night. I was very wtf with Stumpy encouraging Jonesy to sleep with his wife, do they split up at some point?

I can't discuss on my own. About the whole Stumpy asking Jonesy to sleep with Rita thing, I think he just sees it as Rita's job so he wouldn't see it as unfaithful ... until emotions become involved. I don't remember Stumpy and Rita splitting up. They fight about stuff but I don't think they actually split up for good.

Oh I get that she works tricks but to get his friend to go to her was weird to me. I am really not liking Sophie too, she's freaky. Not pretty at all either, is she supposed to be?

Nah I don't think she's supposed to be a hottie, but they don't have a lot in the way of women there. I didn't mind her character until the end of season two but I won't say why.

Bernie is starting to get bored with it and to be honest I am also getting kind of eh about it. Nothing is really happening It is the exact same reason I got bored with Lost so I am hoping they start explaining some stuff soon.
