The movie about the founders of Facebook.

I quite enjoyed it, but I have never seen a movie before where ALL of the characters are assholes I wasn't sympathetic to the people who sued Zuckerberg, and I wasn't sympathetic to Zuckerberg.

The twins were well played, they were played by the one actor and it worked well. I can see how they thought he stole their idea and why they were mad about it, but seeing as how he didn't use any of their coding I don't think they had grounds to sue. Facebook is just another version of ANY social network site, but Zuckerberg screwed himself there by not just telling them no he wouldn't help them.

Eduardo I found it hard to be sympathetic to him because he simply did almost nothing with Facebook. He gave the set up cash, and he tried to find some advertisers but he didn't achieve anything with it. I think he shouldn't have been screwed out of his entire share but I don't think he deserved to keep his 35%. His name being taken off the founders list was crap though. And I did feel sorry for him with the girlfriend

Sean Parker was entirely unlikable, I fully supported Eduardo wanting to punch him in the face Justin Timberlake was very good in the part, but I failed to see why Zuckerberg liked him so much.

Zuckerberg himself was a jerk. They set up him being unliked at the very beginning with his breakup with Erica. I don't blame her for wanting nothing to do with him. But in the end I found more sympathy for him over the suings than I did the ones suing. Mostly because Facebook was almost entirely his work. He wasn't nice to people to get there, but it was his coding and he customised it.

I haven't seen it, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. What about it makes it good? You don't like any of the characters? So is it the story? I can't imagine a story about the creation of a website being that fascinating. I'll probably wait 'til it's at the discount theater or on DVD to see it.

I don't think you need to like any of the characters, its so interesting because most of them are total bastards Its Sorkin (favourite TV show The West Wing and one of my fave movies in A Few Good Men ) and Fincher (two of my faves in Fight Club and Se7en and the greatest music video of all time - Vogue) so i expected good things, but it far surpassed those expectations. Its pretty much all talk but its riveting. And all the performances are spot on. I see Oscar noms at least.

I heard good things about it too and I have no idea why because from the trailers and stuff, it doesn't look like a movie that would warrent so much praise or Oscar buzz..

I haven't seen it and I don't think I will. No interest in watching it.

I agree if you think of it as "a story about facebook" it sounds boring. But it is an interesting journey of how facebook came to be. It was well written and extremely well acted by everyone. It wasn't a nice movie, but I think it is one that is well worth watching.

Oh and I put what was good about it in my opening post people!

It was definitely a "talking" movie, and it really held my attention. I though everyone did a great job - very cool how they did the twins (Armie Hammer's face for both - Josh Pence is the body, and they added Armie's face in post-production - can't wait to see the special features!)

I also enjoyed the book it's based off (The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich).
