Yes. Talk about a crazy way to end the episode! I thought most of the episode was boring until that last scene.

Whoa. Did not see that end coming! I was so annoyed with that girl for going missing. What a waste of episode time! I was expecting her to turn into a Walker by ep's end.

Ep 2 was definitely better than last week's ep. Rick can't catch a break, can he? I feel so sorry for him. Everything seems to be wrong for this man. And I knew Shane and Otis will be trapped in that school. That was predictable. I'm liking Daryl this season (that's his name right? The guy with the crossbow?). I didn't like him at all least season but he's growing on me now. Love the scene where he asked the walker to shut up and shoots an arrow into its head like it's the most normal thing to do. Classic Daryl.

I loved that Daryl bit, too. If that's his name, I have no idea. But I agree, wasn't a huge fan of his last year, but this season so far he seems pretty cool. Really good acting this episode. I was especially impressed by the boy. I felt his pain!

I've been following this on NZ TV now. This season is pretty boring I must. Not enough action like in season 1!

Damn! Dale's death was gruesome! Next week's the two hour finale. Was it a 2hr finale in the US? I can't remember. From the promo, it looks good - it's like finally picking up!

I don't mind Dale. He's alright. Wasn't upset he died though. Shane has been annoying me during the last few eps. Can't stand him anymore.

So Bernie and I have started watching this and have seen the first 4 episodes. After reading your posts I am surprised you guys think (thought?) Lori would go back to Shane and cheat on Rick, I thought it was made pretty clear that she thought Rick was dead and is furious with Shane for telling her that. Not sure what to think of Shane atm but since they showed he was visiting Rick when he was in a coma I assume he genuinely thought Rick was dead before moving on with his wife. I do think he is being set up to be a bit of a creepy guy though who will cause some problems. I like Daryl. He's by far the most useful of the lot of them with his crossbow Like Glenn and Rick too. Haven't really formed much of an opinion on the others yet. Episodes 1 -4 thoughts.... is there ever any mention on how long Rick was in a coma? Bernie and I argued about it. I think it has been months because entire towns wouldn't run out of power/phone coverage/alive people/etc and people be set up in a camp so well in only a few weeks, which is all he thinks it has been. Not to mention how long he was in a coma for before this all happened. I mean, I guess it is possible the town was overrun in a few weeks because obviously they were pretty quickly outnumbered and stuff, but I don't think Lori would have moved on that quickly with Steve. Anyways.... is it ever mentioned? I expected Merle to come attack the camp at the end of the episode, not the zombies.

I got bored and stopped watching so I'm not sure it's mentioned later on, but I remember thinking it was maybe a month... Like 28 Days really. And he must have had some level of care until perhaps 2-3 days before he woke up. Some nurses stuck around I'm guessing.

That is why Bernie thinks it hasn't been long, because he would have needed some care at the hospital before everyone left.

I also thought it was a month like 28 Days Later. Don't know how he could have lasted that long without any care though.

Because it's not a network show. They prefer quality over quantity - which some network shows should take note. Though I think season 2 is slight longer? I may be wrong...
