See BBC Meme thread for the books that would be involved.
So would you like to try out a Book Club type thing? You wouldn't have to be involved every month, the threads would remain open indefinitely. Also would a new sub-section for it be good?

I don't know if a new section is necessary since this section is only 2 pages. Maybe just sticky the current month's book and leave the others as just regular topics for that book. But I don't care either way.

I don't think we need a new section no. I will try but i don't have a lot of time to read these days. I've read a fair few on the list already so i'd just need a touch up on those ones at least

Shouldn't need a new section now, maybe when there are a lot of threads on it if it gets interest. I'd try to be involved but I'd probably skip the books I have no interest in.

I would enjoy doing this, but I'm not sure how much time I'll have over the next few months. The books on the list are popular, so I wouldn't have a problem getting them on Kindle or other ways. I'm in.

I doubt I would have the time for this. Would love to be involved though.

I doubt anyone would have time to read every single book we start, that is why the threads would stay open. Then people can come to them when they have read them or started them These books will all be pretty easy to track down - all libraries will have them. Do we want to have 2 people pick a book each to start? First in gets it

I say we start at number one because it's also my number one (that isn't about a wizard )

That was my original thought but number two is 3 books Though some of us have read them already so that could kick off the discussion pretty well. I'll start the threads

Sounds like a cool idea. I wouldn't likely read some of the books but there are definatly some I've meant to read for some time. A bit disappointed that some books I'd expect to be on the list aren't mind you.

Well for instance there was nothing on there by Agatha Christie as far as I recall. That's just one of the authors that comes to mind. It seemed like whomever wrote the list had a few favorite authors that kept reappearing as well. Sure some of those books were very good but on a list of 100 must read books the chances of multiple authors having 4+ books seems a little bit of a stretch. Still, as I said I like the idea and am interested in reading a number of those books that I haven't read yet.

I'm happy to participate as I can. I don't know exactly how much that will be, though.
