I haven't read this myself yet (I haven't read any of her books) but I've heard good things so I'll see how I like it Who has already read it? Are you going to read it again? How much do you remember (if it were awhile ago)? Oh and watching the movie so doesn't count

Watching the miniseries would actually put you in good stead It's pretty accurate and faithful. The Keira film version not so much but I still enjoy it. As I have said apart from Harry Potter this is my favourite book of all time. I first read it in high school and have probably read it once a year since then. I just love the characters. Lizzy is just damn cool. She is smart and funny and doesn't take shit. Which is amazing to me seeing as though she was written so long ago. And lives in a world where women had their place and pretty much had no power to control their lives. Darcy is smoking. Yes it helps that I have always had Colin in my head but he us wonderful, rounded character. The sisters shit me a bit. Especially Lydia of course. Even Jane irks me at times. Mrs Bennet is a twit. And while Mr Bennet has his moments, he makes some stupid decisions and puts up with his dingbat wife

I haven't read it yet, but I'll see if I have it and if not, I stop by the library or Barnes tomorrow and pick it up!

Reading on the Kindle is not as good as reading a book I've found. But it was free! They are fairly quick chapters, read 10 of them today (not sure if Kindle chapters are shorter than book ones). It has been fairly easy reading once you get into the old fashioned way of saying things. I haven't found myself "involved" like I am in some books but the pages turn (so to speak) pretty easily. So far thoughts on characters - Elizabeth is great, and Jane and the father ok but the rest of the family are pretty horrid I don't like either Bingley sister, the unmarried one obviously wants Darcy.

No. My school library doesn't have it. WTF?! I'll check the public library maybe tomorrow during my lunch. If it's out, I'll just buy it.

I've been trying to find out if any of my friends have a copy. I am interested in reading it but not in buying it. I suppose I could go to the library but honestly whenever I get a book from the library I fail to return it in time then get late charges and guilt.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the free-ness! Might download it and pop it on. Although Austen did spell Lizzie wrong

Pride & Prejudice is honestly my favorite novel of all time. I read it every single summer, and it NEVER gets old for me! I absolutely adore Lizzie & Mr. Darcy, and I personally find Mrs. Bennett hilarious.
You cannot die happy unless you've read P&P (at least... in my opinion).

I like Elizabeth and Mr Darcy. Felt that chemistry right off the bat. I've never seen a movie version either so it'll be interesting to watch after reading it.
