Alexis meets CharlieCharlie’s name derives from her use of drugs. It’s an ironic twist to the name Charlotte or Charis as her full name is. Charis Adrastos is obviously Greek and purpsosefully describes her as graceful and beautiful.
However, you probably knew that…Want to know something about Charlie you didn’t know? Alexis wasn’t the first choice for her. The first actress I cast was Morena Baccarin after her role as Inara in Firefly/Serenity. It wasn’t until I decided to make Charlie Rack’s daughter that I realised Morena could make Charlie look too old and too dark skinned for Rack’s daughter and that’s when I came across Alexis Bledel.
I did not choose Alexis because of her role in Gilmore Girls along with Milo “Xak” Ventimiglia I chose her because of her amazing acting in Sin City as Becky. She was so streetwise, she had the adult look and the attitude, as well as having a bit of a dark streak which was awesome and kind of essential for the role of Charlie and for many of the upcoming twists in her character…

She stops and reaches into her lab coat pocket and retrieves a few coins. The camera shows that next to her is a vending machine with “
Hershey’s” plastered across it in neon letters. She smiles cheekily and places the coins inside and presses a button.
HEATHER/HEATHER: I hate you. I bet you can eat those and…
HEATHER is stopped by the laughter of SOFIA as she notices the chocolate is stuck in the vending machine and isn’t moving.
SOFIA/MORENA: Well it’s not gonna do much to my figure stuck in there.

SUNNYDALE STEETS – EXT.TRAIN STATION – NIGHT
The camera shows a taxi pulling up outside the Sunnydale train station. The camera shows the passenger door of the taxi opening. We can see a person’s feet, from the ankles we can see they are a woman’s feet. The camera pans up to show a mature woman with short brown hair. She’s wearing a trouser suit, and looks rather smart and sophisticated. It’s A.I.D.A. She smiles sweetly and looks up and down the streets and looks satisfied. She closes the door and catches her jacket in the door, and it drives off ripping the jacket from her.
A.I.D.A/HARRIET: Oh dear…we can cut before that right? I stepped out of the darn thing well enough.

ROAD – INT.WINNEBAGO – EVENING
SEPHY/PATRICIA and LANCE/CHAD are sat at the table. The director is giving XAK and CATE some directions off screen but in the mean time they are sat with the cards. SEPHY/PATRICIA looks playfully at CHAD/LANCE who looks innocently around the Winnebago. She flutters her eyelids at him. He laughs at her.
SEPHY/PATRICIA: Forget the cards…just sex me boy.
He looks fearful.

ROCKS – EXT.DESERT – EVENING
Night has begun to descend on the girls as they sit by a fire nearby. CATE/AMANDA and MELODY/ROSE warm themselves by the fire.
CATE/AMANDA: I knew sneaking into the boys scout group in the 8th grade was a good idea, we got nummy boy treats and handy survival skills.
She pulls one of the sticks towards her and she takes a bite out of one of the marshmallows, she recoils, and spits it on to the fire. MELODY/ROSE laughs.
CATE/AMANDA: Holy crap that’s so gross…what the hell is it? It’s like burnt chewing gum.
CUT TO – SUNNYDALE
LOUNGE – INT.XAK’S APARTMENT – NIGHT
LANCE/CHAD leans in and slowly kisses CATE/AMANDA. She laughs and pushes him away.
CATE/AMANDA: (laughing) I’m sorry!
LANCE/CHAD: Come on! Serious face.
CATE/AMANDA: I have to have romantic face not serious face.
LANCE/CHAD: What’s the difference.
DIRECTOR (O/S): You guys wanna take again?
CATE/AMANDA: (ignoring) Well romantic is more smoochy and serious is more glarey.
She pulls the faces.
LANCE/CHAD: (laughing) Since when do you do that?
CATE/AMANDA: I’m a serious actress I’ll have you know.
LANCE/CHAD: (makes the serious “glarey” face she just made) This serious?

WHITE ROOM – INT.WOLFRAM AND HART – MORNING
HERMES/RON and DANTE/CHRIS are sat at the desk in the White Room. With their being no special effects the room is just a desk in front of a green backdrop.
DANTE/CHRIS: …I’m wily like that.
HERMES/RON: I’ve noticed…but as I said, we were expecting your resignation, in whatever form, so…
He looks to the side, and so does DANTE. The sound of high heels approaching can be heard. EVE/SARAH comes into view smiling, she doesn’t however look at DANTE/CHRIS, this time she moves towards RON and lies across the desk.
EVE/SARAH: Hey sugar daddy…
HERMES/RON tries to remain composed but cannot. He laughs and looks at DANTE/CHRIS.
HERMES/RON: That’s your doing, I know it.
EVE/SARAH laughs and turns to DANTE/CHRIS and high fives him.

There are bottles of beer on the carpet and the sound of water running can be heard stronger now. The camera pans up LEIGH’S body to show her shocked face at the mess before her. She looks quizzical as she sees a mass lying under the duvet on the double bed across the room. The water running is from the bathroom, a shower?
LEIGH: Chris?
The lump moves suddenly revealing CHRISTIAN. He’s naked and has permanent marker on his forehead saying “ASS” along with a drawn moustache and monocle…

CHRISTIAN’S APARTMENT – INT.WOLFRAM AND HART – MORNING
LEIGH/RACHEL is stood by the door. The sound of someone entering from the bathroom. We know it is DANTE/CHRIS. He has a towel wrapped around them but is naked underneath clearly. The person has a rippled body and rugged good looks…as he approaches the room his towel drops. The camera moves away to look at LEIGH/RACHEL, she blushes and her eyes widen.
LEIGH/RACHEL: Oh my god…
She clasps her mouth with her hand and the camera moves back to DANTE/CHRIS who winks and covers himself up.
DANTE/CHRIS: Just giving the public what they like…He looks behind the camera…
The camera switches to another point of view to show XAK/MILO standing by the camera which is filming DANTE/CHRIS and LEIGH/RACHEL. He’s laughing hard and looks at the camera.
XAK/MILO: (laughing) Cut…

Alex and Amber InterviewSeason Two may be over but Season Three is on the horizon…Alex Hart and Amber Jacobson questioned me recently (interview-like) about the upcoming Season Three and what we can expect when all is lost…
Alex: Obviously Cate will be deeply affected by Toole's death, can we expect to see a new side to her character in Season 3?
Lex: Very much so. I'd planned only two deaths at the beginning of Shadow Stalker. Charlie's and Toole's, and I’d only planned to bring Charlie back so I knew that Cate would be deeply affected by everything that happened at the end of Season Two, I mean of course it would, he was her fiancée. Expect a new dark side to Cate because the bitch just got some bite…
Alex: What can we expect in terms of the mythology aspect of the show in Season 3?
Lex: Well Season 3 is a bit different to Seasons 1 and 2. It's gonna take a slight time out in terms of Greek mythology, almost like the calm before the storm. Season 3 is heavily involved in Xak's past and Sin's prophecy which as you will see entwines with the Greeks unwittingly. However I would like to say there will be one new Greek goddess in Season Three, she’s being played by Ali Larter and will certainly be an interesting and unique twist to the series and indeed the recurring theme of mythology.
Alex: How soon will Melody and Lance's motives for doing what they have done be revealed?
Lex: In the very first scene of the very first episode of Season 3. I won't give away how i'm going to reveal it but it explains how they met Christian and Leigh and why they chose to do what they did.
Alex: What can we expect for Dante from here on out?
Lex: Well he's remaining as a main cast member in Season Three. He's got a long way to go in terms of redeeming himself, not just to the readers and the gang, but to himself. I'm giving him more depth, new relationships, both friendly and lusty and a face from his past will show up as well! So lots to expect from him but I won't reveal too much.
Alex: Any more Angel/Buffy tie ins on the horizon?
Lex: I was considering bringing a minor character in from the Buffy series but in all honesty I don't think I will as I like making new original scenes and characters that don't rely on the conventions of the Jossverse. Obviously BtVS has now ended and only AtS Season Five will run alongside SS in Season Three but I think apart from the slight involvement of Wolfram and Hart, as mentioned in the Season Three summary...that's it!
Alex: It's clear that the end of Season 2 is going to bring major issues for both Charlie and Xak, will we see difficulties for the pair or will their common goal to get Sin back only strengthen their love?
Lex: Well yes they are about to face some dreadful pains in their relationship, and as we saw towards the end of Season Two, things were getting rocky in their relationship. It won't be just Sin however who causes problems for them...
Amber: As you mentioned above, a darker side of Cate will be shown. Knowing that Sin killed Toole, will Cate attempt to get revenge when they find Sin, even though she knows Sin is very important to both Xak and Charlie?
Lex: Well that's an ace question. I think what's going to be interesting is noting if Cate's loyalty to Xak and Charlie shifts in the coming episode as they're so adamant on finding Sin. Cate certainly has changed her feelings towards the young girl, and won't be so eager to find her, but she is eager to find something in the earlier episodes...
Amber: Considering events usually come in threes, there has been a Phase One and a Phase Two, and Christian and Leigh are still on the run with Sin...Will there be a "Phase Three"?
Lex: Ha they usually do come in threes. Personally I don't think I am going to include a third phase, although obviously Christian and Leigh have a long way to go. I kind of like leaving it with Sin being Phase Two. I suppose Season Three in itself is actually Phase Three...as you'll all see as it commences and progresses!
Amber: With Cate and Melody separated, will the struggle to "prosper over the others" (according to the prophecy) continue, or will they be too distracted by their current tasks to pay too much attention to the prophecy?
Lex: I think with the current tasks the prophecy remains more important than ever between them. With it really coming down to Cate vs Melody the prophecy is going to be more important than ever for them both so the prophecy will be particularly important in the earlier episodes of Season Three and indeed throughout.
Amber: Will it be explained as to why Sephy sent Rack to give Charlie the message, and why she knew (or thought) that Dante could be trusted?
Lex: Sephy is a big question mark at the moment. She will return shortly but so much has happened for her that won't be revealed until later Seasons but it will be revealed why Sephy has so much trust now in Dante...
Amber: How many cast members will there be in season three? We saw some interesting additions in season two. Can we expect the same thing to happen next season?
Lex: There will be eight characters joining the main cast in Season Three. Some we've already met and some new, and it's set to be the BIGGEST Season yet in terms of characters. So many guest characters will be joining the show such as Jennifer Garner, Patrick Dempsey, Paul Walker and Selma Blair will all join the show in various forms. There's also a rumour at the moment that Ali Larter will join...
Amber: Finally, what can we expect (excluding mythology, as you've answered that above) from Season Three?
Lex: Well, expect new relationships, tons of new characters, more subplots than ever before for the characters. Expect to learn more about Cate's past but more importantly about Xak's past before he arrived in Sunnydale. Expect a new location for the gang, and expect secrets to come out as Sin is now fully grown, and Phase Two is about to dress up in big sister's clothes and storm this world.

Hotel Devarro…a wreck, a murder scene. A man is lying on the floor. The sound of running and screaming can be heard on various floors of the hotel. The man is breathing heavily, and the camera passes up his still body. His clothes are torn and a large gun is lying nearby, and we can see that he is wearing a black swat uniform. The sound of his coughing and his spluttering for his life can be heard, and as the camera pans up his body fully we can see that the man is DANTE.
DANTE: (struggling to talk) For destroying me…
He tries to reach for the gun…Footsteps…
DANTE: (determined) For destroying them…
Whoever it is walking towards him, kicks the gun out of the way. He looks at the person in fear.
DANTE: (quietly) This is my revenge…
CUT TO - NEW YORK
BAR – INT.SIRENS – NIGHT
The camera pans along the edge of a bar counter. It is empty except for one person sat at the bar. Behind the person, is a large club called “Sirens” found in a dark corner of New York City. The person is a woman, clad in a black swat uniform. She has a handbag next to her, and a cocktail in front of her. She rests her hand delicately on the stem of the glass, showing an engagement ring. The camera pans up to show the woman is CATE. She looks pale, tired, and malnourished. A tear falls down her cheek. She’s wearing no make up, so none of it is smudged. She takes a sip from her cocktail and looks at her engagement ring. She sighs softly.
CATE: (quietly) For all the lies…
She looks away from the engagement ring, and immediately downs her cocktail in one. She reaches inside her handbag and pulls an object out, placing it beside the empty glass. She looks at it blankly.
CATE: (quietly) …For all the deceit.
The camera pans down to show her looking at a black hand gun, one bullet is in it. Saved for someone in mind. She looks up and stares blankly ahead.
CATE: (whispering) This is my revenge…
CUT TO – NEW YORK
ROOM – INT.MERRETT INCORPORATED – NIGHT
A woman storms through the room and approaches the window. The room is dark, an abandoned office, and only the artificial wash from the city outside floods the room with a dim glow through the large window on one side of the room. It’s CHARLIE. Her hair is tied back tightly and she is wearing black eye make up, dressed like DANTE and CATE in a black swat uniform. She begins assembling something by the window.
CHARLIE: (angrily) For taking her away…
She rapidly completes the construction of the apparatus in front of her. And leans down towards it, kneeling on the floor. She sighs.
CHARLIE: (sadly) For taking my faith in him…
As she leans forwards we can see what she is looking at…or more importantly looking through. A sniper rifle. Aimed at the building across the street…
CHARLIE: (seething) This is my revenge…
CUT TO – NEW YORK
CORRIDOR – INT.HOTEL DEVARRO – NIGHT
XAK walks down one of the old hotel’s corridors. As with the others he is wearing a black swat uniform. He sidles down the corridor slowly, the handgun CATE had in the bar is being held tightly in his hands. He stares ahead angrily through his bangs.
XAK: For making me stalk the shadows…
The camera swoops around so it is now behind XAK. We can see he is arriving at Room 19…He reaches for the door handle.
XAK: Just a little deeper…
He opens the door…
