What books have you read so far that you dislike or hate? Are there any books that you couldn't finish because you didn't like the story/writing/characters? This thread is basically the opposite of the Book Recommendation thread. Tell us what books to avoid!  |

There have been some Buffy books that I've picked up, and haven't gotten past the few chapter or so because of the terrible writing.
I think it's be easy to name Twilight as a book that sucks, but I wouldn't tell someone to avoid it - rather I think you should read it critically (e.g pay attention to dangerous relationship between Edward and Bella). I also think the plot is fairly interesting - but the writing and lack of editing is pretty terrible.

The Twilight books belong at the top of the list  I haven't really read any books that I would say sucked, I usually pick books to read by their blurbs and I've luckily not been too disappointed with any of them. |
