Or States .
Loz mentioned she struggled with American food I find I still struggle with the food here, coming from the UK I taste everything different in the food, the horrible chocolate & the fructose corn syrup, it's in everything here. It got worse after I visited my parents and got used to those food tastes again .
When you go to another country do you try the countries traditional food? would you?

I would definitely try their local food whenever I go to a different country. It would be a bit silly if you stick to something you find in your own country. One big difference I find in NZ is the chicken they use in the McChicken burgers in McDonald's. They taste very different from the McChicken in Singapore. The milk in NZ taste different too. I can easily drink tea with milk here but back in Singapore, I can't seem to drink tea with milk so I have it black. It's odd. The ice cream is a big difference here too.

I am having trouble with some of the food over here! The milk is weird, 99% of the fruit tastes weird, bread from the supermarket is weird, I can't find tea bags with tags...it's very hard I definitely try some of the traditional food when I go to different countries.

Haven't bought Irn Bru over here, but I think about you every time I see it! I had it in Brisbane once, it was really strong!
I had some Jaffa Cakes on Sunday when I sat in the park with my Kindle. They're quite nice, although a bit dry. What British food do you recommend Nico?

I haven't been out of the country but I can be a bit squeamish with different kinds of food. I'd like to think I'd try some of the traditional foods of a country if I went there but it depends what it is

I enjoy Steven trying all the food when we go to Scotland. Scotland has the best fish around, particularly Salmon. I hate fish though but he enjoyed it. My parents send me Jaffa cakes I love them but Steven hates them he doesn't like the orange jelly Not sure what foods you wouldn't have over there in Aus, I know the English pride themselves on curry dishes. I myself lived on Potato waffles . Have you been in any cafe's Liz? I miss them alot

Oh yes, lots and lots of cafes. Had some good food. I had some Scottish smoked salmon on a bagel for lunch today, it was rather delicious!

I'll try things. I'm fussy but I'm not non-adventurous. I did struggle in the US. It's fat and sugar central. And there is so damn much of it! And seriously WTF is with the milk?! It's not white for a start. And it's sweet! I tried about five different types and gave up. Two stories that best exemplify my experience: 1. Was in a HellLand (Disneyland) bakery getting a coffee (which is a whole other nightmare over there) and i spotted a simple cinnamon scroll. Asked for it, paid and went and waited down the end. It arrived. The scroll was now in a bowl and floating in a sea of icing. I looked at it in horror, looked at the chick, looked back, sighed and took it. Ate two bites. 2. Went to a supermarket deli to get something quick for dinner after a long day. Got some salad stuff and juice and though I'd get me and my aunt some chicken. I asked for four pieces. The lady said a "Serving for two" is cheaper. I ended up with 11 pieces of chicken. Five people helped eat our dinner that night
