Australian film and TV

So, my new flat mates are an English guy, and a Canadian guy. My friend and I have decided we must introduce them to Australian movies and TV shows. This is our list so far:

The Castle
Looking for Alibrandi
Australia
Tomorrow When The War Began (which is only just in the movies here!!)
Muriel's Wedding
Priscilla

The Chaser
Summer Heights High

Any other suggestions? What do you see as a typical Australian movie/TV show? Non-Aussies, what Australian movies/TV shows have you seen?

There is a thread for Australian movies in the Movies section, you might get some ideas from there.

For TV shows... I don't really like a lot of Australian TV to be honest. Keep them away from the soapies, those are terrible I'd go with something like Good News Week.

I would have said Summer Heights High,We Can Be Heroes and Underbelly 1 Liz. Them and The Secret Life of Us are the only Aussie shows i own.

Ooh I think they'd like Underbelly. Good suggestion! Looks like I have some work to do!

We watched Tomorrow the other day. They really liked it, one of them said he didn't realise Australia looked like that! I think we'll watch Australia soon, that'll really blow their minds
