Didn't see a thread for this so I thought I start one.  Anyone else watch this? I like it a lot but don't watch it as often as I would like. Think Barney is awesome but he can get quite annoying sometimes.  And I hate that we still haven't met the Mother!  |

I really like the show. I don't watch it regularly, but I watch the re-runs when I see they're on. I like all of the characters. Marshall is my favorite. Barney is great too.

Marshall has put on so much weight over the years! I love his songs. Especially the goodnight song to Lily. |

Saw the finale. I feel cheated.

I liked the ending  Figured everyone predicted that would be the case regarding the mother. I thought the kids were a bit strange about things though. Little too peppy about the situation. But it's a comedy, and it was shot 9 years ago, so i let it go. |

I figured that she was dead but I didn't like that the whole thing was about Robin in the end. Yeah, I preferred Ted/Robin compared to Barney/Robin but I still find it annoying that after 9 years of this elusive Mother, they hardly gave her a good story with Ted.
And I HATED how they pretty much slaughtered Barney's character development (and Robin's and Ted's really) in that hour. 9 years of character development down the drain.
I think they made the mistake of telling us that the mother wasn't Robin in ep 1.

He was who he was all the through really. Look at his abandoned vows for fricks sake. But then it came. And NPH totally sold that scene with his daughter. I believed him 100%. In THAT moment he was a different man. It all led to there. |

I'll watch the reruns but don't go out of my way to watch it much after that. I had the feeling the ending was going to have some surprise twist that'd make people mad. And what do you know! It did.
