I wasn't too keen on Girls. Didn't really like any of the characters Still enjoying the hell out of The Newsroom. Sloan Sabbeth is so wicked.

Yes. She and Jim are my favorite characters. Maggie annoys me.

Maggie is a moron. I don't get why Don is with her and why Jim likes her I like those two guys as well. I especially enjoyed Don and his plane flip out last week. Got me a bit when he told the United crew they got Bin Laden.

Got me a bit when he told the United crew they got Bin Laden. I don't like Don either. He and Maggie are a good fit. Sorry, but the whole thing with the pilots and telling them about Bin Laden was corny as hell. Rolled my eyes when it happened. I'm loving Sloan's little friendship with Mac. They are hilarious together. Haha. And I think we need to start a thread for this.

The bit:
I don't think it was corny in any way, shape or form. But i imagine it depends on your experience of that morning in 2001. I was 21, watching The West Wing on a Tuesday night when they went to live shots of New York. I readily admit that even from across the world it was extremely traumatic to watch unfold. What i saw was Don, after being pissed off with the rules and regulations on the plane and the attendants attitude (as I have been when flying), getting WHY they were like that. That they were hurt in another way, on a another level. That there was a whole extra layer of trauma for them because they were made the weapon of destruction as well as being destroyed. I would have had immense pride in telling a United crew, any crew, what had happened. I'm sure Sorkin wishes he could have. He is a writer who has talked about 9/11 in a wide variety of ways. Not only directly. TWW Season 3, Ep 1 was shot just after and was a stand alone dealing with the aftermath of an attack that's never specified. Season 3's finale deals with the taking out of someone who is planning terrorist attacks, Season 4, Ep 2 had a bombing at a school. Many fans, myself included, believe the POTUS speech is what he wishes Bush had said that day in September:
This is the way he is. He is idealistic. He writes his hopes. He writes what he wished happened. I've never found it not genuine. Never will.

So I've got nothing to watch till next week! Even then it's only one show. I hate how everything is coming back at the end of the month!

Has anyone seen Revolution? Saw the premiere last night. Interesting concept but I don't think it would last. Characters were dull and unrelatable. The whole feel of the show seemed off... Though throughout the ep, I kept being reminded of Firefly.

From the clips of it that I saw, all I got out of it was that there was no electricity?? So it looked kinda lame to me. There's got to be more to it than that, right?
This season, I'll be watching VD, Supernatural, Dexter, OUaT, and Fringe.

Yeah. Something happened and there's no more electricity in the world so everyone is living like in the dark ages. There are people responsible for why there's no electricity but we don't know who these people are or how they were able to take away the electricity. One of the person responsible is now some sort of overlord or something.
A lot of big names behind this series though, including JJ Abrams and Eric Kripke(creator).

You know, people existed for a long time before electricity and got on pretty decently. How did everyone forget? Anyway, it didn't appeal to me so i didn't bother. Watched the new HIMYM. Damn I hope it ends soon New season of Downton has been wicked. Maggie contines to rock every scene.

Argh HIMYM was crap. Should have ended the series a long time ago. Or at least meet the mother a long time ago and continue it with her. Saw Partners last night. Only watched it for Brandon Routh and Sophia Bush. Don't think I'll be watching it again - unless they tone down that Louis character. He was too over the top. My god. I get it, he's gay. SB was ok, nothing special. BR seemed like he has forgotten how to act. And playing a gay character? What a waste. Looking forward to The Mindy Project tonight. I have high hopes for it.

Partners wasn't great I agree. Can't believe the people who created Will & Grace came up with this. How the mighty have fallen. Pilots are notoriously tryhard though so I'll try one more ep before deciding. The new Private Practice was interesting. I thought for sure they would have Pete "missing" for awhile. Not kill him straight up! Charlotte being pregnant with triplets amused me. As did Coopers immense pride

Yeah and modelling Louis after Jack's character isn't going to work. Is there no thread for PP? I couldn't find it. Meh. Anyway... Partners wasn't great I agree. As did Coopers immense pride I didn't like the new format, too cheesy. I actually laughed when the title card "everyone" came up in the end. Didn't see the triplets thing coming! Or Pete getting killed off! I thought he would just be sent to jail. Soooo glad Addison chose Jake. Couldn't stand Sam in the last season. Caught The Mindy Project as well. I really enjoyed it. Will definitely keep watching.

It wasn't a new format, just a different perspective ep. I swear about 50% of shows does one of these somewhere along the way They have said there is going to be something "different" about each of the 13 eps so be prepared Irene! Sam is hotter than Jake IMO but character wise it's no contest. Jake all the way.

2nd ep of Partners was better. I had a chuckle a couple of times. Hart of Dixie was back tonight. I do like that show. As fluff filled as it is
