^^ Oh I gave up on Game of Thrones. But I just finished Across the Universe by Beth Revis and I enjoyed it a lot. I didn't realised that it was a trilogy until I looked it up - which was a relief actually as I couldn't believe it would just end like that. Love this book!!! I also really liked the sequel. I've been trying to get friends to read it too... I forgot how good this series is! I'm a few chapters in and I'm really enjoying it. I read the first book ages ago so I had a hard time remembering what happened - so glad they have bits of recap here and there. Plus, I keep getting my stories mixed up with Glow - which is very similar to Across the Universe.

Tuzz got me a "Feel better" present which is a beautiful hard cover book about Grace Kelly and her fashion. I am not allowing Jimmy Choo near it, or drinking or eating in its vicinity

Right. So who has read 50 Shades of Grey and why the hell is it so popular?!

They were just talking about it on TV on The Project It scares me that it started as Twilight Fan Fiction! Doesn't bode well at all.... I will nab a copy off someone one day. I know my mate Natalie has it.

It started of as Twilight Fan Fiction?! It certainly veered off from there! I didn't know it was a porny/smut fiction until I saw the rating on the books at the bookstore. First time see a rating on a book! Now, I'm just scared to read it. Though I'm really curious to know why it's so popular. Are there other porny/smut fiction out there? And I hear they are making it into a freaking movie?! Whaaaa?!

Yeah I don't know if it veered off Twilight that much. The lead chick is young, dumb and whipped (in more ways than one) by a guy. That's my biggest issue with it from what i know of it, I'm really not keen on pathetic female characters. There is heaps of porny smut around. A lot of isnt mainstream. Certainly not to the 50 Shades extent. My mates and i got our hands on the first one i read in year 10. The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea it was called. It was great

I bought it because everyone is on about it but I haven't read it yet. I sincerely hope it isn't as shit as Twilight but I don't have high hopes for it, only got it cause it was only $12

I read it. I thought it read like a teenager wrote it but it has become insanely popular and my friends chose not to heed my advice and are currently reading it. I think the people who like it are also twilight fans

Why would Twilight fans like it? Is the main male character a vampire or something?

Because it is so badly written. I've read about half of the first one and I am not sure I will bother finishing it.

Because it is so badly written. I've read about half of the first one and I am not sure I will bother finishing it. So I read the first book. What crap! I don't understand why people like it so much. And the male lead is such a disturbed man - why do woman want a man like him?! I see quite a bit of similarities with Twilight. Both books have idiotic female and abusive male lead characters. Oh there's absolutely no story to it. Anyway, I'm almost done with Insurgent. Tris is annoying me so much! Nico, what did you think of it?

Liz! Have you read the Size 12 series by Meg Cabot? I just got the new one from the library. Looking forward to reading it. I think it's my favourite series from Meg Cabot.

I have literally 30 books waiting to be read. I just struggle to find the time Shaun is getting his version of Battle Royale sent to him and we are going to read that together though.

That sounds like a James Bond book I'm slack, I am not reading anything at the moment. I too have about 30 books to read. The new Lee Child book is out but I haven't even had a chance to read the one before that yet.

You haven't heard of Battle Royale? It's the Japanese book (then films) that most people think The Hunger Games is ripped off of. Shaun 's version is the original Japanese, hence why I had to buy my own.
