Did anyone else watch this? Bernie and I are currently watching Season 1, we've seen the first 4 episodes so far and we're both enjoying it (almost all the shows we enjoy watching together come off Syfy or HBO lol). I knew a little bit about some of the history of Wild Bill so I expected the shooting but Bernie was a bit shocked. Got a few favourites, a few people I want to see get their karma but won't say much until I know if there is anyone who has seen it I can talk about it with!

You said that about Game of Thrones too and ended up enjoying it, you should rely less on what "isn't your thing" and more on what you think once you've tried something I am not in general a bit fan of Westerns either but anything done well is worth checking out imo.

Um, Firefly is a western and that's pretty damn awesome. I watched the first episode when I had premium cable, but haven't been able to watch it since. I tend to love HBO shows, so I'm sure I'd enjoy it. It's on my list.

Meh, not keen. Only watched GoT out of curiosity on why there's so much fuss around it. Don't have an ounce of curiosity for this one.

Yeah but that curiousity led you to watching a show you wouldn't normally have that you liked, how do you know that couldn't happen with a lot more if you tried more? You shouldn't judge a show or movie on it's genre but on the premise of the actual show. Fair enough if the actual show isn't something you care for in general but base that on the individual shows plot and review, not on it being a western. You've argued this with a few of us about other things too Besides, like Breezer said, Firefly is part Western! Did you like the first episode Bre? Bernie and I found it a bit confusing because so many people were introduced and we had no clue who they were, but found after the second ep we were clued in.

I don't remember it too well, but yeah I remember being a bit confused. It was intriguing and I really like Timothy Olyphant, so I'm sure I'd at least enjoy it because of him.

I've seen my share of western and I don't like them. So I have no interest/curiosity in watching this one. Firefly was done by Joss so of course I have to see it. I'll watch porn if it was done by him.

Let me guess, not non-Joss porn though because its "not your thing" You are missing out on things Irene. Not a huge western fan in general but Deadwood is awesome. Have watched it all a couple of times through now. Got my mate Tuzz onto it and its one of her favourite shows ever. She didn't stop for 12 hours Another friend Trudy has my DVD's at the mo.

Yeah Deadwood was great. And not like most westerns. I don't know anyone that has given it a chance and not liked it, though James is a little sensitive about the amount of swearing.

We watched the Trial of Jack McColl last night. I really hope he gets his, assuming he will with Bullock going after him. Really enjoying this atm. Spoilers for Bre's sake since she's gonna start watching soon!

Well we finished the first season of Deadwood already, now to buy the second and third. Bernie and I have both loved it.
For those who have seen it which characters were your favourites? So far mine are the Doc and Al.
