I forgot to mention that the flag bearer was Chris Hoy! The Scot who won 3 gold medals in cycling, woot! He was our local hero. Boris is a huge creep, he is lucky his humour is top notch . He should have been there in place of the queen!.

Disappointing result in the relay this morning Oh well. Now I am really tired, woke at 4.30am Sean joined me at 5.30 so he missed both our medals but he did see the silver presentation.

Changing the order was a bad idea. And the James' were really off the boil. I hope they can improve for the individual! Sprenger was awesome. I love it when they are do damn happy with a silver or bronze

Bad night for the Aussies. We're certainly struggling this Olympics. Our rowers were great in their races last night so hopefully they can come through well in the finals. The Kookaburras were awesome. Dwyer is so damn good. Opals losing wasn't brilliant for the campaign but they should end up ok and make it through. Maggie is up in the 100m in the morning. Please PTB can he be right for that!!

I saw two of our horseriders came off their horses, our best rider too I had hoped for a gold in the swimming but silver is pretty good too. Our rowers are awesome, loved what I saw of that. And how cool is the Canoe Slalom?

Don't really like the equestrian. I can't watch Cross Country especially. It just upsets me too much. Poor horses were sliding all over the place. They were not happy at all Man that canoeing must be hard on the arms!!

The individual guy came 6th Not a bad result in the swimming this morning either. GB still no gold but I saw their equestrian team got silver. I was following them a bit because Zara Phillips was competing.

Yeah I saw this on FB and wanted to post it here but I didn't want to be mean. Everyone back in NZ are over the moon that NZ is above Aus in the medals table.

How is it mean? Wrongly or rightly a lot of people aren't content with second or third, they want to be the best. I don't find that a bad thing. I don't like people being bagged for it but personal disappointment is fair enough.

Woohoo some more gold!
I've been enjoying the athletics atm but I am glad to hear the Aussies did well in the sailing.

Andy Murray won bloody gold and is still being slagged off. I mean c'mon, support your nation, he played his butt off to. An olympic gold is nothing to be scoffed at.
I was surprised team GBR was 3rd in the medal table but I remember reading that host nations usually see an increase in medals and I think they are hitting all of the events they are good at at the moment.
DId everyone read about the multiple people who were sent home packing??

Why he is being slagged off Nico? Because he lost the doubles? His partner was about 17 and ranked about 450. Don't know how they made it there!
The badminton cats?? There has been a lot of tanking for draws in finals. Clearly against the spirit of the games and some rules need to change in a few sports to stop it happening.
Hosts tend to do well yeah. We did in Sydney.

The 'British' media are always slagging him off it is so bad people are accusing federer of purposely losing. He has had a few moments where he has said some idiotic comment and it was taken out of context and it has made him a target, I hope the british media lay off him now!.
Badminton to? I saw the story about the runner who wasn't "trying his hardest" to conserve energy for the finals. Bit him in the arse because he was kicked out and they said he was a strong contender for a medal.

8 badminton players were disqualified for tanking. One of our rowers was also sent home for being a drunken fool but that was after his event.

I can't stand Murray (sorry Nico ) but I do think he cops too much shit. He had his chance against a spent Fed (I watched that epic semi final match against Del Potro and Federer had nothing left) and he took it. Good on him.

Yeah my four favourite chicks were in action last night; the two Lauren's, Anna and Sally. Golds for Anna and Sally, great game from Jackson and 5th for Mitchell (which was awesome and fair enough when you saw Ali's gold medal routine. Holy shit is was good). I'm tired
