How do we not have a thread??!? Or is my phone playing silly buggers and not showing all the threads?  We have our National Swimming Championships on at the moment which doubles as the Olympic trials in an Olympic year. This is a big deal to Aussies because we love our swimming and swimmers (apart from Jones and Rice. Can't stand them personally  ) Thorpey looked good in his heat this morning. Qualified 5th for the semis. I would love it if he made it onto the team!! |

I'm excited. I like to watch a wee bit of everything, I am not a very good 'Team GB' supporter but I do support the Scottish Athletes. I am hoping one day we can have a team made up of Scotland, Ireland & Wales and get out from under the English ignorance but let's not talk about that! I think we went over that topic the last time LOL.
I like all of the track events best. Love the relay and enjoy the swimming because it is exciting.

I think everyone wants that for you guys, the Welsh and the Irish mate!! We did go over the topic four years ago because everyone but the English thinks its bullshit. Funny that  I think its all fantastic. 2 awesome weeks!!! ;D |

Can't wait, be good two weeks at work just stay in the office and watch the games and find paperwork to do ;D
Understand not wanting to compete with other countries but why would it be ok for Scotland, Wales and Ireland to compete together but not with England? Isnt that the same thing but one less country?

England call themselves 'English' when they win and 'British' when they lose. We don't wanna be dragged down . I am looking forward to the opening. I saw the official London 2012 facebook page post a picture of some of the new architecture/art for the games with the tagline "What do you think of the new art?" ,it was crayons in water, really murky water the only kind we get in the Uk! . All 600 comments were pretty much saying "WTF?" |
