I love the books and I am not a big fan of Tom Cruise playing Reacher, but I will go see it. Love the books too much not to.
Anyone else interested?

I'm going to see it I decided. I think the trailer is good and i've heard ok things. Plus I like Jai Courtney, the Aussie guy playing one of the bad guys. He is a bit cute. And he amuses me in interviews etc  |

Saw it today. I really liked it!! Look, Tom is a nutbar we all know that, but he is a damn fine actor and leading man. More often than not I enjoy his films. I have only read one Jack Reacher novel a long time ago so i don't know how well he fits the character in the books. But honestly i couldn't give a toss, i liked the character in the movie. A lot. Rosamund and Jai were really good too. And damn it was excellent to see Cole Trickle and Harry Hogge back together (Tom and Robert Duvall's characters in Days of Thunder)  Tight story all round, a great car chase, awesome fight scenes and nice touches of humour. Definitely one for the collection. |
