I've decided for October, I want to come of up with a list of "31 days of Halloween" (kind of like ABC Family  ). And try to watch as many as possible throughout the month. Does anyone want to help me create a master list of must-watch October movies? I'll start with my #1 Halloween movie and we can collaborate a list! They don't need to be really scary or very Halloween-y. Just good movies to put us in the Halloween spirit! #1 - Hocus Pocus |

I was a bit inspired by your FB post.  Emily could probably watch HP in a couple years. Nightmare before Christmas is a Christmas movie in my mind. I love, love, love it, though. The first time I actually watched it all the way through was just a couple years ago.  #3 Casper |

I actually do like the first original Halloween movie. It's not scary at all, but for some reason, I've watched that flick over a dozen times and I always try to catch it during the Halloween season. But the rest of the sequels don't do it for me. Especially Halloween 3, my God, what a drip.
I love a good scare but my problem with horror movies is that they rarely deliver real fright. But I found a gem of a horror on cable one night called "Sinister". I didn't expect anything good from it. And I don't know if it's just me or what, but I was actually terrified-under the covers-peeking out at the screen-kinda scared, and that NEVER happens to me.

Never heard of it. I'll have to give it a go. Doesn't have a terrible rating on IMDB, either (which is rare for horror movies).

I've not seen that one yet, Bre.
I wish I never saw Sinister so I could see it again for the first time.
The original Carrie was creepy, I've seen it like 7 times.
Blair Witch Project scared me. When Josh went missing, I was really quiet and stared at the screen.
I've not seen the Hand or Evil Dead.
