So in the past these have raised some activity on here (for about the first 15 days anyways ) and I need new books to read (not that I have time) so I found this. You know how they work Day 1 - The best book you read last year.I didn't read as many new books as I'd have liked last year, I mostly reread old books I'd already read when I did read, but one I really enjoyed that was new to me was the 7th Wheel of Time book (A Crown of Swords by Robert Jordon). I reread the first 6 but finally got past those

Sounds good!!
Day 1:
Okay, so I honestly cannot really remember the 'best' book I read! Not a good sign! This year I have started recording my books on goodreads, so hopefully that'll help remind me!
Some I read:
Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline: "The so-called orphan trains ran regularly from the cities of the East Coast to the farmlands of the Midwest, carrying thousands of abandoned children whose fates would be determined by pure luck. Would they be adopted by a kind and loving family, or would they face a childhood and adolescence of hard labor and servitude?"
Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple: 'Bernadette Fox is notorious. To Elgie Branch, a Microsoft wunderkind, she's his hilarious, volatile, talented, troubled wife. To fellow mothers at the school gate, she's a menace. To design experts, she's a revolutionary architect. And to 15-year-old Bee, she is a best friend and, quite simply, mum. Then Bernadette disappears.'
The Royal We by Jessica Morgan and Heather Cocks (from gofugyourself): Basically a fictionalised version of how William and Kate met. I loved this.
Eleanor & Park / Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell.l: Good YA fiction. I read these in Japan.
I also started making my way through the Liane Moriarty books and have really enjoyed those.
I read others. I can't remember them.

Day 1 - The best book you read last year. I didn't read a single fiction book last year. I did, however, read A LOT of pregnancy books. Your Pregnancy Week by Week was my favorite. Day 2 - A book that you have read more than 3 times. I think Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the only book I've read all the way through more than 3 times. For some reason, that's my absolute favorite of the series. I love it!

Day 1 - Betrayal. It's by the Boston Globe journalists and is about their investigation into the Catholic Church. It's horrific reading of course. But excellent.
Day 2 - It would be a Harry Potter. Goblet of Fire probably. It was the book that I read at traffic lights the first time round.

I've been so slack with reading since I started working back in Singapore. Day 1 - The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater (last book in the The Raven Cycle series) Day 2 - I hardly read books more than once. The only one I read twice was the books from The Wolves of Mercy Falls series (by Maggie Stiefvater). Day 3 - If we are going with all time favourite, it would be the Fearless series by Francine Pascal. Recently? The Wolves of Mercy Fall series.

Now there is an excellent series of books. Couldn't get enough in primary school!! Yup. The one and only. It's where I got my username (shred) from. Heh. Loved the SVH books as well. My favourite series was Senior Year. Conner.

Tell me more..... what are they about?? You mean the Fearless series? It's about a girl without a fear gene and her uncle who is pretty much obsessed with her and her ability. She's also skilled martial arts and whatnot 'cause her father (uncle's twin) is a secrete operative for the Russians (or maybe it's the CIA I can't remember). Anyway, it's a pretty dark, adult series compared to the SVH stuff. I"m pretty sure George R R Martin learnt from this series on how to kill off his characters. There was actually a short-lived tv series based loosely on this starring Rachel Leigh Cook. And when I said short-lived, it was like one episode. Man, I really want to reread these books now!
