So what are some people's favourite books/series and what other books would you recommend to others? Discount books such as Harry potter and LoTR... I'm fairly sure most people have read those already on here.

My all-time favorite book is Christy by Catherine Marshall. And, although I thought the movie did the book justice I prefer the book.
I also like The Princess and Sophie's Choice by Lori Wick.
I'd recommend all three of them, especially to the females. Although I think there's a chance guys might like Christy.
And I'm still obsessed with the Nancy Drew books. ;D

Here's a list of some of my favorites: -'The Silmarillion' - JRR Tolkien (better than LotR) -'The Da Vinci Code' and 'Angels & Demons' - Dan Brown - Love his style of writing -'Cirque du Freak' series - Darren Shan -I've only read the first 4, but they're good books with great characters -'Water' trilogy - Kara Dalkey -I don't remember much about it, but they were the first series that I loved.. and I loved them a lot. -Any of Edgar Allen Poe's stories Good stuff

Wicked Willow series is very good. (especially #3.) Suprisingly enough my cousin got me into these series of books called Warriors by Erin Hunter. There not the best books in the world but they can be interesting.

yea but they left out ALOT of parts...like the part where sophie was threatening the taxi driver...that would've been nice and the whole scene with the truck and the box and Langdon and Sophie being kept as hostages they left some of the most important pats out
