Another ship I always thought was really popular. I am not overly fussed about Willow and Tara myself, but always thought most people liked them. The hurt and heal is showing otherwise... so discuss. Do you like them? If so why, or why not?

I just found the scenes with them in incredibly boring.

Tara is completely uninteresting. There is nothing about her that can hold my attention for longer than 2 seconds. Including her relationship with Willow.

I liked Tara. I think she was a sweet girl, but together they were kind of boring. I think earlier when they first met and Tara was all stuttery, she was more interesting there than later. But she's a good singer, and she did good in OMWF . But I did like how she was the one to say something when Willow was using too much magic. But together, they're kind of boring. I'm not against their relationship, but I don't think it was spectacular.

Bre i thought you said "Sluttery" lol i was like how did i miss that haha
I did like the fact that she stood up to Willow when she was going overboard which is what a partner should do rather than let you slip into the addiction. But together it was just like *Yawn* the better scenes between them were when Tara was brain sucked *Cough cos she slapped Willow cough*

Ha Glenn sounds like you just like a little violence in your relationship! I'll make sure you get a little slap from Alice
Anyways, I didn't find their realtionship to be boring, I think it was important for the show to have atleast one stable realtionship and explore maybe the more mundane things and reality but that doesn't make it boring

*GASP* Willow and Tara were never boring! They combatted a lesbian storyline, they practically PAVED the way for the stunning season 6 finale, they added to the magickal element of the show and they were a sweet couple. Eat your words glenn. haha

I must admit as someone who doesn't even see an issue with homosexuality portrayed in a fiction, I tend to concentrate soley on the relationship. They were sweet but I wouldn't use the Season 6 finale to exemplify how interesting their relationship was as Tara's death was a functional element to bring Willow to the darkside. It was mostly about Willow, not so much Willow and Tara. That said, it doesn't have to be all doom and gloom in relationships and for the most part they were likeable as individuals and as a couple.
Tara's non-judgemental stance with regards to Spike and Buffy's tryst and her support of Dawn really made me warm to her and I always loved Willow, so although they are no Buffy and Angel, I swooned once or twice. You can't watch Family and not be moved.

Eat your words glenn. haha Never Mwahahaha I actually skip Family. I find the episode very boring, probably because i find the relationship boring. There is zero passion shown on screen when they are together besides a few choice moments.

I agree that the passion is lacking between Willow and Tara at first, but I think by season 6 they had it there. I also don't like Family, I think mostly its boring, but it has some nice moments. This relationship isnt one that I dislike, but I dont particularly like it either. Its just not all that interesting. I think it was a nice, healthy relationship, one of the few shown in the Jossverse, but it lacked in a lot of interest except when Willow went off the rails and Tara stood up to her and left and when Tara was hurt by Glory. Only then did the relationship give off the fire and genuine raw emotions in the characters and make it interesting to watch. *sigh* Guess watching people happily in love just isnt that interesting

Willow and Tara's relationship was very sweet, but I don't think it was very passionate. The way they settled down together...they took care of each other.

Yeah that is what i say lol
Can be good for real life but just a little boring for on screen. People shout at me when i say i liked it when Tara was brain sucked but i don't mean it to be mean. I just think it gave their relationship a little more depth on screen. Willow taking care of someone who is mentally unstable. Something that many people have to do, and it came across very loving on screen and did show that their love had great depth.

Yes, same. People don't really want to watch the mundane aspects of life on tv. They want to be entertained. Not that falling in love is boring, but it doesn't really make for rivetting television. I 'liked' it when Tara was brain sucked. Not because I was like, "AHAH SUCKER!" but because it added depths to their relationship, like you said Glenn.

I guess it showed that Willow genuinely loved Tara, I think some people we're even still thinking willow wasn't 'really' gay up until that point

I actully enjoyed Willow and Tara. They just seemed right for each other, ya know? Even though Tara can be a geek at times I love her never the less. And Tillow is in my top 3 fave couples.

To me, I like a relationship or character on screen best when I can relate to it. I have always felt Willow was the one I could relate to most and I think if I met any of the scoobies in real life, Tara would be the most approachable. And she's hot and I have a crush on her, but that's off track.
No, to me, I like it when a character is human. I think that's what I like about Andrew too. The superhero thing is sometimes inimidating!!!

Wow, I would never have thought the word boring would have been used to describe Willow and Tara.
Though now I can see how you think that, but still I don't agree. The two may have not been rampant bed buddies, but I saw a lot of love, warmth and emotion in that relationship, it didn't feel boring and empty to me at all.
The first one that comes to mind is how Willow makes Tara feel and helps her to develop and grow into the person she became when she died. She gave her so much confidence and fire it was great to watch and see how much of Willow rubbed off on Tara. Tara brought Willow down to earth, she calmed her, supported her through everything she's been through (well the best way she can), which I think is just brilliant.
I'm not normally one for nice, warm... nice relationships but I liked it, it was sweet and bubbly rather than the Buffy/Riley kind of love (no offence to any shippers.) I don't think it's boring though I just think it's not as melodramatic as other ships are, it deals with its problems in a quieter, gentler way than other ships do, but as time goes on it becomes less so and more problematic, louder and less gentle (another lesbian, coming out metaphor maybe?).

I loved Tillow. They seemed so perfect for each other, and they were so sweet togather. There are many factors that proved they were far from perfect for each other.
