We've had a stalling of topics lately, so I am bringing up new ones...heh. Anyway, what book are you currently reading? Would go recommend it to everyone else? How many stars would you rate it? (out of 5)
I am at the moment readinf Thunderpoint by Jack Higgins. I have read it before, ooh countless times. It really is a brilliant book. One of my favourites by Higgins. I give it 5 stars. Yes, it is that good. So I would recommend it to everyone.

Well sadly i am reading the new Angel Casefiles book. It's given me a hankering to watch Season 4 and something weird is going on..... i'm having Conner sympathy! This has never happened before, my hatred has always been unwaverable. I'm very confused. Anyway the books not bad - a few interesting tid bits from the actors i have to say. ***1/2 from me

I read Digital Fortress last night. I thought it was pretty good, actually. Susan is such a Mary Sue. Oooh, all the men love her! Oooh! etc. etc. *** I think.
Tonight I think I might start HBP for the third time. Depends.

I'm reading Spark and Burn by Dina G. Gallagher its a Buffy book about Spike + his past I'm 100 pages in + so far it has no 'extra' fiction in it just an elaberation on what we already knew. Its still a good read though.
The book before this was Apocolypsy Memories + I can honestly say it is the worst buffy book ever written! Crap story, shite diologue + totally predictable. Therefore it gets only one *

Ok i'm onto Total XS now which is written by Rhett Hutchence (Micheal's brother). Very interesting stuff. My friend Tuzz and i have a Micheal Hutchence fascination that unfortunately only started after he died (the circumstances of which we find interesting as well). This book does not paint Paula Yates in a very good light - big shock there! **** so far and i'm only two thirds through....

Unless recently, I was reading Hamlet. Thank god it's over now. LAST ENGLISH EXAM AT SCHOOL! Yeees.
I read Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta (Looking For Alibrandi) last night. One of those YA books. Not bad, actually. I think I'd read it before.

I'm reading JRR Tolkien's 'The Unfinished Tales'. I'm going to know everything about Middle-earth, I am!

It was actually pretty good. And yes, it's written all in IMs. It's about three tenth graders that have been best friends since 7th grade. I'm not gonna give anything away, though. I'm now on about page 50 in "Queen of the Slayers."

Well I finished reading Spark + Burn, its nothing exciteing really. It takes place in mostly season 2 and 'lessons' from season 7. 200 pages in I got quite bored of the book I got really bored because the majority was just going over what we knew from season 2 + a few tiny bits that we didn't know. It was also entirely from Spikes p.o.v which got annoying after a while.
How ever that author was at Dragon Con + she did explain to me why she wrote the book + why it contained so little new material- she said that she wanted to explain who Spike went from being crazy in the basement to just fine in between 'lessons' and 'beneath you'. Well this is all fine and well but she only really resolves this in the epilogue!
So I'd say it was only a 2.5!
I'm now reading The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galxy. I'm 160 pages in and its great, I saw the movie first so I can tell which bits got left out + I'm damn happy that I'm getting them now coz some of it is just so funny!
I'd give it 4/5 already!

Jack Higgens newest book (just out) Without Mercy. I'm not real impressed so far. The characters seem flat this time around and the death of Hannah wasn't even a shock cause they put it on the ack cover. I'm not even halfway through it, so I hope it gets better. I have been waiting for this book for more than a year, I had hoped it would be as good as his other Dillon series books.

I've been reading Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult. It's really good.
From the back of the book...
"Wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for sexual assault on one of his students, Jack St Bride arrives in Salem Falls determined to rebuild his life. He takes a job washing dishes at Addie Peabody's diner and slowly begins to form a relationship with her in the quiet New England village . . . but the rest of the inhabitants remain suspicious of the stranger.
Just when Jack thinks he has outrun his past, a quartet of teenage girls with a secret turn his world upside-down once again, triggering a modern-day witch hunt in a town haunted by its own history."
Would recommend.

Just finsihed James Patterson's "Mary, Mary". Its another one in the Alex Cross series. It was good, but not as good as a lot of his other ones. I'd still recommend it though for crime fans.

Well, I gave up on the Unfinished Tales a while ago. I'm not so much in the Tolkien mood anymore. My mind is focusing way to much on Serenity, so that's the book i'm reading now.

Isn't there something ridiculous like a baby that is Spike, Angel and Buffy's in the Queen of Slayers book?

It's not a baby, it's a little girl. She helps Buffy at the end. How did you know?
