I was thinking of it, Steven has been bugging me for us to start watching it to but I heard the book size can be off putting! (well since I have only gotten back into reading recently)

I would if it was my type of genre.

You do realise all things in the same genre aren't the same right? Different writing styles, different settings, different character stories? You cut yourself off from a lot of good work, not just books but in general, by closing yourself off to things because you dismiss them as "not your kind of genre".
Nico the books aren't small but they are worth the read.

I might give it a try from what I have heard the show get's high reviews & so do the books, no point reading a bunch of bad smaller books when I can read one long series of good books. How many are there?

One of my personal heroes died yesterday. Her name is Nancy Wake. She was an Australian woman who became a fighter in the French Resistance and then was a spy for the British. She was on top of the Gestapo's most wanted list and they called her "The White Mouse" because they just couldn't catch her. Both her autobiography and a biography by Peter FitzSimons are two of the best books I've read. If you want a real story of someone being brave, heroic and just damn remarkable I highly recommend them.

I have a few books on my 'to read' list I want to get non series books out of the way first.
Anyway I recommend 'Divergent' very highly. From the first page I fell in love with this book, it is Dystopian and I always enjoy those, since I just finished 'Uglies' I say that this book is far better. Atleast for me.

Seems interesting. Though it sounds a lot like the The Hunger Games.

I don't think they are alike at all, Hunger games has districts and Divergent has Factions where the people within them behave like they should (Selfless, Brave etc) that is where the similarities end. Katniss is much more likable than Tris, the main character in these books and there is a lot of shady stuff going on!

Oh just by going by the blurb, it sounds like the THG. Would definitely give it a try though as it sounds like my type of book.

I'm really enjoying the book too, Nico! Definitely not like The Hunger Games. Pretty sure I know who Four really is.

About halfway I think. Just after the Visiting Day. I knew at once when her mother started asking Tris all that questions, she was a Dauntless!

Yes! and then you think back to the beginning when Tris was caught looking at herself in the mirror and her mother just smiled, and why her mother always wore long sleeved dresses! It all made sense
