Season 1 was my favourite season. I lost track of it after they introduced to the Others. So there are a lot of things that I have no idea why it happened. Thanks for the article, Liz. Makes much more sense now.

Like you stopped watching? Or missed a bunch of episodes? How can you watch this show without seeing every episode? I'd go crazy.

Yeah, I stopped watching from the middle of season 2 till towards the end of season 3. I got back into it probably during the last few episodes of season 3 as it was starting to get interesting again - I think it was during the time when they started showing their flashforwards.

I finally saw the finale and I thought it was pretty good. I cried during the last scene when everyone met each other at the church and Jack was stumbling through the bamboo forest before laying down to die. I'm so sad that he died though. I was hoping he would survive. Not sure how I feel about the flash-sideways being an In Between for all the characters though. :-\ I guess I was hoping for something more. One question: Why isn't Locke/Smokey allowed to leave the island?

That's a damn good question. I'm going to assume that if he left, he would exploit the island for what it was and to have Jacob or whichever protector killed out of vengeance. But I don't understand why, that when he was human, they wouldn't let him leave.

I thought if he left, he would just go around killing people as Smokey. But when he became human, he wasn't a threat anymore. So I was a little confused there.

Maybe not as big a threat, but I'm sure he would have, one day, seek some kind of revenge as most villains do.

Ok another question: What's Aaron's role in all of this? I remember in season 1 how it was a big deal that Claire was pregnant and Aaron was considered special. Was it ever addressed later on in the series? His special-ness kinda died down after Claire disappeared.

He wasn't really special, like Walt special, but he was in that he was one of the few people to ever be born on the island. Most pregnant women died and their child never survived childbirth. But other than that, I don't know.

But other than that, I don't know. Yeah, but that didn't apply to Claire and Aaron since she was already pregnant when she arrived on the island. If I remember correctly, all the women/children who died was related to the women getting pregnant while on the island. That's why we were worried about Sun because her pregnancy happened on the island... but that all worked out ok

That's what Damon said. I don't think they really said specifically that Aaron was special, just that it was important for Claire to raise him. I don't really understand that, because I thought Kate was a good mother to Aaron.

They were just joke endings. They mocked a bunch of bad TV show endings, like The Sopranos and some others I don't remember right now.

I don't know, I don't think there are any alternate endings. They may put the JKL ones on the DVD. You can watch them on YouTube, too.

I don't really understand that, because I thought Kate was a good mother to Aaron. I guess it's just another one of their plot-holes.. I'm rewatching the first season (since it's the only one really worth watching) and I reacted to this whole thing too, that it was very important Claire raised Aaron, since we never got an answer...

I don't think it's so much a plot hole as it is non-important info. Has nothing to do with the bigger story, just Claire's.
