No way. How can you hate him. He doted on his Princess and when he realised she was slipping he tried to rectify it and then graciously stepped aside. True Hero.

He was a nancy boy. His "waiting on his princess" was ridiculously disturbing. I would hit anyone who treated me like that. I want an equal in my relationship thanks, not someone going "oh I adore you oh magnificent one" Its over the top, sappy and annoying. I'd have hit him - HARD.

But look at Cordelia. She loved being a Princess even in a disturbing world. So he was perfect for her at that time.

Thats because Cordy is somewhat vain and self centred and likes to be treated that way. She also had enough of it in the end and by season 3 I don't think that was important to her, as she realised when she realised she didn't love him. He bored me, quite simply. And those creepy CREEPY eyes!!

I dont think she had had enough of him. I think she simply realised who she really wanted to be with. She would still like the doting i reckon.

I'm with Glenn. Groo was a sweetie. And I loved Angel's reaction when Groo and Cordy were together. And hell, my guy better treat me like a princess!

I didn't mind Groo. As a boyfriend, perhaps he's good on paper but Cordy was searching for a deeper connection which he was unable to provide. I can relate to that. I'd love a girl to be sweet but if she didn't understand my humour or if we were not on the same wavelength, I'd be bored pretty quickly. Also, a sexy well built go all night puppy dog is not a compliment!

Hate him. A two-dimensional character, and very un-Jossverse.

I love Groo! He's such a sweetheart! I really wonder what happened to him. I can't see him surviving in L.A alone.

Okay, ladies, aside from his eyes, what about personality? We never really got to see much of him to comment on his personality really. But from what we saw, I love how sweet, caring and loyal he is to Cordy (and to the rest for that matter). He's also such a gentleman. You got to give him props for moving out of the way when he found out that Cordy was in love with Angel. I admit he's too much of a softy though.

the groo bored me, he was too nice, he had no killer instinctand was too trusting, plus he was going out with cordy and he just walked away without really trying to win her back. what a wuss

The Grossalaug was annoying, too proper and good for my opinion. And way too damn creepy/goofy.

I agree. He was nice and all but there was a certain creepiness to him imo.

I think you get that with any two dimensional "goody two shoes", especially in a Joss show. Where all the other characters have three fleshed out dimensions to them, you expect a not so nice twist with one that doesn't.

That's true Allan. And we never really got to know Groo more on the show. Who knows. There might be a reason for that creepiness!

Man, people do not like Groo, huh? I liked him. He was so sweet to Cordelia and I felt really bad for him when she kept ignoring him and paying more attention to Angel. I guess he could have fought for Cordelia more, but he knew he wouldn't have won. Sometimes I think it's better if one guy just backs down. Cordelia and Groo might not have ended on the ok terms they did if he had fought more for her. Oh, and on a kinda side note, I really liked how they introduced him, when that thing that was carrying his stuff came in and Cordelia freaked out then he was like you can put those anywhere.
