That was my well thought out and decisive post Oh okay, im not too keen on books based on certain abstract characters, if they want to do a book on a previous Slayer they should just keep it within the Tales of the Slayer books. Am i forgiven??

lol that was a better post!!
I think there is an exception in this case considering the strong tie Nikki has to the current slayer- Robin and Spike! Its something that needs to be explored and the 'Tales of the Slayer' treatment wouldn't have given the story enough time to develop

I've just started getting into the books again now that they've come out with the more "adult" ones. I read the first book in the Gatekeeper Trilogy and loved it! I'm trying to get my hands on the second book.
I have all four parts to the Lost Slayer and am looking forward to starting it (hopefully soon!) and also bought Queen of the Slayers recently, although I've heard it doesn't stand up to all the reviews it got before its release. (I know some of you have posted your thoughts on this one in the thread and agree that it wasn't that great.) I also have Blooded, which I haven't read yet either. I'd love to hear your opinions on these from those of you who've read them.

Thanks for your insight, Glenn! I love what I've read of the Gatekeeper Trilogy and hope to find the other 2 books soon and am very excited about starting the Lost Slayer soon, especially after your rave review. (I was really excited to find an edition that had all 4 parts in one book--makes it easier! :woot: ) I'll try to get my hands on Monster Island.

Yeah my edition of The Lost Slayer is all in one book but its paperback so i have to be careful with it as i dont wanna ruin the spine lol (sad i know) Its very much my kind of book. I love 'what if..' stories.
Im thinking of re-reading alot of my Buffy and Angel books. I havent bought any new ones for a while. I thing Spark and Burn was my latest.
Also an Angel book called "The Book of the Dead" was one i enjoyed

I've got almost all the Buffy and Angel book and definately have all the adult ones.
Lost Slayer is a fantastic book, well written and full of suspense and drama, its a really gripping book. When thei came out I read all 4 parts in 2 days which is really really difficult for me with my Dyslexia.
The Gatekeeper Trilogy is my absolute favorite book, I read it quite often and once I begin I can't stop till all three are finished, you will defeinately enjoy it.
Monster Island is also a very good book, Blooded is ok but not one of the very best.
my reconmendations would be Book of Fours, These our Actors, The Evil that Men Do and Paelo

I dont have blooded or those last two books that you mentioned. I recently read one but i cant remember the name. It was about an Angel named Micheal come to end the world.

It was a fairly good read but the plot was a little far fetched for me. Still its an 8/10

lol whats the point if you can get them second hand, as long as its readable your all set.
Blood and Fog is a really good book, Spike centric which is always fun and brings a bit of English history into the mix. There's no doubt you'll enjoy it

im in the middle of reading 'blackout' about Nikki the vampire slayer, its really good so far, Nikki has a really cool way about herm the way she talks and moves. and the fact that no one knows her name after 4 years is really impressive
