You're like psycho! Err psychic. I think she looked better as a brunette.

One of her most beautiful episodes was Angel, where she was brunette. And of course, the puppy fat on her added to that beauty. Shame she got so thin in Series 3 and onwards.

Hehe thats funny cause you guys all said she wouldn't go blonde again I can't help but wonder that she went blond because we were talking that she won't. She looks good in short hair but a lot older in my opinion. Does anyone know whether she went blond and short for a role or because she wanted to spite us?

When you're working in the film industry, I think a lot of it comes down to what is required for particular roles, rather than your personal choice.

To me, SMG will always be Buffy. No matter what. Whenever I see SMG, I always think about Buffy. Bre said she was waiting for SMG to kick ass in Scooby Doo, and I was the same way in the Grudge (unfortunately she never did in that movie). Even if she does get a major leading role in another movie/T.V. show, she will always be Buffy to me, since she played that character so well and I just associate Buffy with SMG.

Dunno if I commented before but I have come to find I can seperate her quite easily and look forward to when she plays different characters. I worried that she would be typecasted just because how long she played Buffy, but she plays other roles well too. A Jennifer Aniston she is not.

I've seen most of her movies since her Buffy days and she doesn't remind me of Buffy anymore. But she looks to be typecasted as a Scream Queen more than Buffy as most of her movies are scary movies or a psychological thriller.
Her last movie I saw, Veronika Decides to Die, was very different from the usual roles she has taken as she was great in it. Shame the movie didn't get a wider release though.
But SMG will always be Buffy in the sense that no other actress can play Buffy and do the superb job that SMG did.

Which is kinda sad for the original Buffy. I know that when she plays a diff character I cheer for her no matter what, good? Bad? I always hope she comes out on top. That may be more of an "I worship SMG" thing then a "I still think you're Buffy" thing. Though it's because of Buffy that I like her so maybe it's a bit of both.

I don't think that I see SMG as only able to play Buffy or similar characters. I've seen a couple of her other movies and have enjoyed seeing her play a different type of character. I do agree, though, that she will, at least to me, be the only actress really capable of playing Buffy. I think, though, that I hold that type of view for any actor/character combination that was on air for several years and that resonated with me.

I love SMG and I will watch anything she's in. Heck, I bought and watch Southland Tales just for her!

She was very different in Southland Tales. I don't see her as Buffy still but she is yet to do anything else of real note. When she is referenced in media she is still referred to as Buffy or references to vampires and slaying so she hasn't shaken out of that role.

It's also very unlikely that the media and fans will ever really let her shake it. Obviously, we like her well enough in the role of Buffy to have started this thread, and BtVS is a well-known franchise so it is probably a good tag for any reporter wanting people to read/hear his stories.
I do wish that she would find at least one other role that she can really claim so that she's not always seen as "just Buffy," although she'll never be able to completely separate herself from that role.

Man she was the only cool character in Intolerable Cruelty. Even Ryan and Reese kinda sucked.

Unless she takes on another popular role in another TV series, she won't lose the Buffy tag. She isn't a talented enough actress to make it big enough in movies to be known from those.
