What quotes from BtVS make you cringe? Either from corniness, lameness or they were out of character and stupid? We all know my favourite cringeworthy line When you kiss me I want to die.Gag me with a spoon.

The Spike speech from "Touched" I think it is. The one about Buffy being "The One"

The way you feel about cookie dough is the same way i feel about "You're the one"

You guys both suck. Cookie dough is alright ... and 'You're the one' flips my flapjack. But I'll agree with "When you kiss me I want to die". Definitely cheesy. It's a sweet thought, but lol.

I also cringe when Angel does the speech about wanting to wrap Buffy's heart in his own or something... from Helpless. Gag.

The speech in Touched is awful. So is the speech Buffy gives Angel at the end of Amends.
The worse line would be Dawn's "Get out get out get out".

yeh thats not so much the line but the actress that makes you want to rip your ears off!
"When you kiss me I want to die" sucks no matter who delivers it!

The speech in Touched is awful. So is the speech Buffy gives Angel at the end of Amends. The Amends speech rocks my kasbah This i agree with. Hate it. I also hate Willow and Kennedy's little kite talk. Makes me cringe massively. And i don't mind 'When you kiss me i want to die'. I always thought it was about wanting something you know you shouldn't. And thats a part of their relationship i always loved

I like the Amends speech, too. "When you kiss me I want to die" is pretty bad. Couldn't they have figured out a better response? Cookie dough speech bothers me too, though for some reason I really like it when Angel says, "Do you have any idea who...do I have to use the cookie analogy?"
Can't think of any others right now, though...

The worse line would be Dawn's "Get out get out get out". I actually like that one. But I love Dawn, so that's probably why. I didn't really like the "Want. Take. Have" thing. It might be because I'm not a huge Faith fan. But it seemed like they were trying too hard to make her bad.

Faith Rocks! and so does the "Want. Take. Have"

I didn't mind the 'want, take, have' thing. It's actually not that evil in itself as such. It's Will To Power. I still feel it was a rationalisation on Faith's part, there is still a little girl who wants to be loved inside.

I completely agree. Remember that although Buffy showed interest in Faith, she was never fully accepted into their group. Or (if you want to argue she was) she always felt that she was compared to Buffy, that everyone treated her as second best (Recall her speech in Enemies) And that, to her, felt like being cast aside once again. She turned to the Mayor and stayed with him because he showed her love. She pulled out of that when Angel showed her an unconditional desire to help her and care for her. (Consequences, but especially the end of Five by Five and all of Sanctuary)

I think Dawn saying "The hardest thing in this world is to live in it" in OMWF is pretty awful. It's poorly delievered and cheesy. If she wanted to remind Buffy of what she'd already said, she could have done it a PINCH more eloquently than just restating it, I think.

Yeh I'd agree it was delivered wrong but still a nice sentiment so I let it slide, plus it sounds like it had to be dubbed so maybe if it had been picked up in shooting it would have been better

That's true I guess.
This one isn't exactly a quote, and I don't cringe because it's bad, just because it hurts to watch it: Dawn's cheer for RJ in Him.

I cringe all through that too. And I cringe when Cordy tells his friends why Xander sleeps outside at christmas.
