What are everyone's favourite albums? Would you recommend them? And those you would recomend, why should others like it?

I second Paul's The Wall recommendation. I'll recommend Led Zeppelin IV. Good stuff. Everyone should have it. No matter what kind of music you like, most people like Zeppelin.

I have to recommend The Killers Hot Fuss, I love that Album, Theres no poor songs on it, I love them all. I agree, a good fun album. I don't like the follow-up 'Sam's Town' at all. I recommend the Garden State soundtrack. It's very mellow, good study music.

I agree, a good fun album. I don't like the follow-up 'Sam's Town' at all. Havent listened to it properly, but I asked the guy at the music shop to play it, and it sounded kinda boring.

Snow Patrol's latest album, Eyes Open, is a must have. The songs are brilliantly written and the music is wonderful. If you like bands like Coldplay and Keane, Snow Patrol is your cup of tea. Another good album is Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSound.

I dont like Justin Timberlake though, he makes me cringe He does? I never liked him when he was in N'sync but I have to admit, he's a great solo artist. If you like the whole pop/dance/R&B thing, you might like JT. Btw, Snow Patrol's album before Eyes Open, Final Straw, is also another great album. Not as famous or well known as Eyes Open but the songs are just as good.

I didn't like Justin in his N'sync days either. And I don't listen to his style of music, ever. But I like him. Dunno why. He seems like a cool guy (from what I've seen on talk shows) and his music is fun to dance to.

I like quite a few albums, and if I try to start thinking of all time favourites, I'll inevitably miss something.
But I got the Borat soundtrack recently. An interesting mix of Kazakh style music, and, well... stupidity.
That said, there wasn't as much comedy on the CD as I was expecting, but it was still a good CD.

I was wondering if anyone here has either The Fray or Jack's Mannequin albums. I'm thinking of getting either one of them or both but I'm not sure whether they are worth it. I've only listened to a few songs on the album and I still can't decide whether they are good. Anyone has either of the albums and do you recommend them?

I have the Fray's CD. I think it's boring. But I don't really like their style.
I recommend Christina Aguilera's new CD even if you're not a fan of her other stuff. It's got an pop standard vibe about it. It's catchy, and her voice is beautiful!

Thanks Bre! Maybe I'll get Jack's Mannequin's album only.

My favorite album in 2006 was Taking the Long Way from the Dixie Chicks.
I know they are all controversial and everything, but politics aside it's just good music.
My second favorite album is How to Save a Life from the Fray.
I know a couple of there songs are way overplayed, but the whole album is great. And I like many of the others more then the couple that play everywhere.
But Bre already expressed her lack of interest in it, so it just goes to show you that it really depends on you individually, if you don't like their style then you won't like the cd.

Yeah I'm not really into their style of music which is why I though they weren't that great. I'm more of a rock fan. But my sister likes them a lot. I love the Dixie Chicks because of their political views. One of their music videos was really neat as well. I think it's their newest single, I'm not sure though. But the video was really cool. Lately I've been in a huge Beatles mood, so I recommend any Beatles album.

Personally I support the Dixie Chicks political views, or at least the fact that they have every right to say them.
The only music video I've seen from their new album is Not Ready to Make Nice. It's pretty neat, and the little inside joke about the vice president is kinda funny too.
