OMG, It was amazing! Poor Fred, wished he had gone down in twin action instead of Percy. Oh well. Yay! Teddy Lupin. Loved seeing Siri again. Man the whole book was so worth the 1 hour wait in line me and Ryan endured. Oh man.... I am so excited for the fanfics that will spring up about the kids. Too bad it didn't mention who Draco married... Scorpio? ! LOL. Is in absolute Glee from Bookdom.

I can't really think in straight lines at the moment so here are a few things I loved about the book:
Ron and Hermione finally getting together over House Elves Kreacher. Everything about him The battle for hogwarts and McGonnagal chasing the desks screaming CHARGE! Snape being redeemed. Draco not sucking quite so much as a person Narcissa Malfoy. Once again, the day is saved by a woman trying to protect her son. Neville pulling the sword from the hat and killing Nagini. Molly calling Bellatrix a bitch and then KILLING her. Rock on, lady. Rock on.
Moments that will haunt me till I die:
Hedwig... Dobby... Harry looking in the mirror and noticing that, had he not known it would be him, he wouldn't have recognized himself after so long on the run Snape telling Harry to look at him, so he could see Lily's eyes while he died The presentation of Harry's body...specifically McGonnagal breaking down and Neville rushing to the front when no one else would.
For the record...JK told us two main characters would die. Two. She lied big time, yeah? Maybe I just count lesser characters as more main than I should but I think Dobby, Mad Eye, Lupin, Tonks, Fred, and Snape should all count. And...to be perfectly honest, I really think Hedwig should count too. She was such a good owl.
Owned by this book. Completely owned. I couldn't stop crying. I've never cried out of joy before. Like, teared up, yeah. But never sobbed from it and been completely unable to control myself. And...well she might as well have stamped "And they all lived happily ever after" at the end...and I couldn't be happier about it. I'd been so ready for Harry to die. I'd accepted it. The concept of him being alive...I can celebrate his birthday now without that bittersweet feeling! I.Love.This.Book.

I think my fave part was Harry asking if dieing would hurt, and Sirius saying it was as easy as falling asleep. It was sweet, and Harry being Teddys Godfather. I loved seeing Ron's Jealousy... take that you crazed Harmonians. lol. (NO one here is Harry/Hermione right?)
Edited because of a lack of sense.

I, wow. I can't even say how I feel about it. Well, yes, I can. I loved it. Big time. But I just can't believe this is it, you know? So sad. Though I did read about one death, when I was browsing around on LJ, it wasn't a death that would've really gotten to me had it been a surprise, anyway (it was Snape's). I've got to say I hated no parts of the book. All of it was absolutely fabulous, I love how everything came together throughout the book. And how there was never a dull moment. So many deaths... It was so sad to see (well read) everyone going. Except Voldemort of course. Freakin' big happy dance when that happened. Also, didn't J.K. also say that Harry was not a Horcrux? That fiend. But as I said; This book = Favourite by far.

Didn't Harry not recognise himself because of a jinx Hermoine put on him so he was less recognisable, not because he'd been on the run so long Skitty? I loved how Nagini was a Horcrux and how Neville killed it like Harry asked him to. Such a brave boy, and leading the group rebelling against Snape... shame they didnt know Snape was trying to protect them all too. I was so happy that he was completely redeemed like I had hoped he would be, and I was immensely sad at his death... but then happy reading his memories. Harry's speech to Voldemort... so freaking awesome. I will cheer when I see that onscreen Fred dying. WHY?!?! Lupin dying WHY?!?! I was glad Percy was redeemed too, and his reaction to Fred's death was heartbreaking. Molly... what a woman NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH. Love it. Narscissa... it was nice to see that once again it was love that made someone turn against Voldemort. Even Lucius cared more about his family than Voldemort winning at the end... good for him. Harry was always going to be a horcrux, wouldn't have made sense if he wasn't. And RAB was exactly who we thought he was. I knew right away that Harry's cloak was the Hallow and thought that Dumbledore's wand might be. It was interesting hearing some of Dumbledore's past and how that made him who he is, and I liked seeing his brother in it helping Harry too. Dobby and Hedwig dying... also MadEye, those were surprisigng deaths and so sudden too. I also hated no parts of the book. Big thumbs up, best one by far.

No, it wasn't because of the stinging hex. He describes his long hair, and the little bit of stubble on his jaw, and the fact that he got so much thinner. It just...showed you how bad things had gotten for them.

Pure brilliance. The best by far. I cried so many times it was just pathetic Hours after finishing I still can't get my head around it all really. I just know that i'll never be so messed up by a book as i was by this I think everyone has mentioned all my big moments except one and that was Ron when Hermione was being tortured. I was sobbing reading that. I have always wanted them together and i knew it was going to happen, but every little thing about how it finally came about was perfect

A few of my favourite parts of the book included Harry visiting his parents' graves, and him finally realizing what he must do. Visiting his parents was so touching, the whole scene (I suppose you could call it that) was heartbreaking. It happened so long ago, but it's still painful. To me, anyways.
Reading how Harry was so willing to face death, and to not even defend himself, so that he could save everyone else was so hard, but so incredible. It just shows just how much he's grown; Not that he was ever very selfish in the first place. I was crying while he was on his way to surrender himself, but I loved how he just showed himself, with no fear. It was fantastic.
P.S. Lurking, even in Hogwarts with an invisibility cloak, is something that should never, ever be done. I think it is worth explusion!

Another bit i loved - Ginny's 'Birthday Present' to Harry. Very nice Oh and I have serious Neville love going on it must be said Its so perfect that he was the one to slay Nagini and went on to become a professor at Hogwarts. And finally after seven books i didn't hate Draco. That was a surpise. I didn't think i could ever have my mind changed on that one. Along the same lines who would have thought it possible to like Kreacher?!?! I've been reading round the net about the book and found this in a review by Time Magazine, talking about how sad the end is. I thought it was fairly eloquent

Just finished the book. None of the other books really hit me quite as hard as this one. She laid the pain on thick from the start. When Hedwig was killed i was stinging inside, and then Mad Eye was lost so early. The Dobby scene was heartbreaking, with the grave and all. As soon as George had his ear blasted off i had the feeling that Fred was going to be killed Still didnt make it any easier to read. About the point mentioned earlier, that JK said only two major characters would die is something that has become lost in translation. What she said was that two main characters that she had not intended to kill off would be killed. She said this on the Jonathon Ross show (can be found on mugglenet) and that in fact many people would die. That was definitely the case. Im glad that so many characters were redeemed. Kreacher, all the Malfoy's, Snape (was there ever a doubt? ;D) and also Dumbledore who i was starting to resent slightly for all the secrets and plans. Rita and Umbridge sadly survive the book Also, chapter called "Fallen Warrior" straight after Hagrid had dived through the air and fallen god knows how far. I was about to have an aneurysm.

I thought Hagrid was dead then too even though I had already skimmed the back to see who died before reading I also resented Dumbeldore for parts, especially his comments to Snape. I cant believe I never figured out the Doe was Snape's until it was said

I just...the fact that Lily's patronus was a doe and James turned into a stag. Does anyone else think it's an odd little coincidence?

I cried way more at the beginning than at the end for some reason. Strange. I'm very glad JKR didn't make Snape evil! That was awesome. I wasn't taken by a lot of the deaths. Lupin's and Tonks' seemed really sudden and their poor baby. I cried when Fred died and almost teared up when poor Dobby died. That was terrible. Mad-Eye's death didn't really hit me too hard. I mean I was sad, but it was a loss that could be handled. The journey with Harry, Hermione and Ron was fun to read. Reading about them bicker and grow closer as friends throughout that experience was great. I love learning about Dumbledore's past. It kind of lessened my thought of him. But the more any character is revealed, the less "great" they become. I think it just made him seem more human than we, well I, always viewed him. Which isn't a bad thing. Not so happy with the epilogue. It was almost too happy pappy for me. I never saw a huge love connection between Ginny and Harry so it was odd to be that they were married with kids. It's nice and all, but too much.

See i always thought it should be Ginny and Harry And i thought it was extremely obvious how much Harry cared for her throughout DH. I mean he was watching her dot on the MM! And Ginny certainly seemed to care - look at her 'Birthday Gift'. I loved the epilogue. I was prepared for the worst so was ecstatic to for it to be happier than i ever thought it would be ;D

I always rooted for them, too, but I never thought of marriage! I guess it was enough years down the line, but I still see them all as Hogwarts students.

The odd thing is that, when reading the epilogue, I instantly saw the James Potter from the movies. It seemed only natural that Harry, who looks so like his father, would obviously continue to do so. I didn't have any trouble aging him. Draco, with a receding hair line, did test my imagination however.
