I was thinking that the wolves would look more like the ones from Underworld, but it looks more like the lion from narnia - a bit too cuddly-looking(?). Looks like I'll have to wait for the dvd to come out. I agree. It does not look scary enough.

The change was dramatic and all but he looked like a big dog.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that I'm a little bit excited. >.<

I'm excited for it, too. I just finished the book, and it looks better than Twilight.

Out of the three I've read, my fav was New Moon. I might catch it to see how they would translate it on film but I wouldn't rush out to see it.

It looks better than Twilight but that wouldn't be hard and is very faint praise. The Twitards on the folders at work have been bleating on about their teams for the past three days I guess this is going to happen every fricking time a new trailer or scene is released

No thanks. I have a brain, and a life and am extremely happy in the relationship i am in. No need to crave or desire or swoon over the screwed up ones represented in that trash

I watched the commentary last night (I know.. I know..) and the director is very annoying. She even compared herself to Francis Ford Coppola and I almost turned it off at that point. But the way Pattinson and Stewart were talking, I don't think they liked the movie very much. Stewart was embarrassed every time she was on the screen (for good reason, I guess ) and Pattinson said he walked out half way through the premier and doing the commentary was the first time he saw it all the way through. Plus every time he did those looks you mentioned Irene, he chuckled. So at least they don't pretend it's the best movie ever, unlike the crazy director. And I cannot believe that Stephanie Meyer actually liked the movie. And she did have a big say in what happened, I'm very surprised she didn't make more changes to be more like her novel.

How the hell is she like FFC?! Maybe they fired her because she is delusional

That's what I'm thinking. I'm pretty sure she was just on something the whole time. She was talking about one day when she was crying on set and she heard that Coppola cried on the set of the Godfather so she thought that might mean her film was doing well. Crazy lady.

I think that New Moon looks better than Twilight because of the new director.

I''m surprise she liked the movie as well - seeing how the movie didn't really follow the book a whole lot and the interruption of some things were the opposite of what happened in the book (Edward showing himself in the sunlight is one example).

He did that in the book. But that whole meadow scene was messed around with too much. I didn't like it at all. Instead of being a sweet serene scene, it was kind of angry and very uncomfortable.

Yeah, that's what I meant. The whole scene was done wrong. The reason for showing himself in sunlight was waaay different from that in the book - which I didn't like.

Not all that impressed with the trailer. I agree, looks like Narnia! I wish Catherine Hardwicke was directing again.

Why? She did a woeful job of the first one I saw the first movie once, and never will again. I am undecided on whether I will see the second one, probably not until it comes out on dvd. If I hear it was a LOT better I may see it before that. The actors were terrible (the main ones anyway) but I liked Pattinson in HP so maybe he can be less wooden in this one I haven't seen the trailer yet, suppose I should do that before commenting further

I thought she did an okay job. I also think it'd be nice to have the same director for the movies so they have the same feel - look at HP, they're all so different (which, maybe, is a good thing?).

The HP movies imo got much better, though the books did too so that could be why and not the change in direction. I personally think the new Twilight director can only improve things, the first one was terrible
