That wee coy smile that they gave each other making chile was quite sweet! I wonder if he will be back for this weeks episode feeling guilty that he left Elena alone to Klaus when the only thing Stefan asked him to do was protect her.

I just started watching this this season and I like it! but am a little lost on some things. Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix if I can slip the discs into my parents queue. I'm not sure what season the show's on now, but will the first two seasons catch me up sufficiently enough to be able to enjoy the current episodes a little more?

We are only a few episodes into Season 3, definitely don't watch anymore of 3 until you see the first 2. There are characters lost along the way that help tell the story for season 3 and the progression between all of the characters is really important.

Yeah it's not a show to jump into three seasons in. Its very awesome though. I don't know anyone who hasn't gotten hooked.

I will be, haven't caught any of Season 3 yet though. I enjoy it but I have so much at home to watch already I will wait until it is being shown on TV here. If it is already I've missed some and might have to though to catch up |

I much prefer having to many shows to catch up on than having none at all Tonights episode looks quite interesting, I was feeling incredibly bad for Stefan in the last Episode, I like his character alot. |

Ep 5 I don't even know where to start! Bloody hell. Stefan is completely gone (but not leaving) and Damon is completely divine. Klaus is a prick. And kind of annoying. Get me back Elijah please. Tyler dead i did not like. Even if it was only a brief moment. Him and Caroline are very good together. Matt is obviously very F'd up. Not good. Still don't get what is going on with the ghost shit. Damn fine job by Nina.D once again. She is a very underrated actress |

Loz, you pretty much summed it up. I felt terrible for Stefan & Elena. ND plays both parts so incredibly different, she wa minor on Degrassi but on this she shines.
Her "Where were you Damon" was heartbreaking and I loved his reaction to it.
Also loved Stefans last line to them "by all means, get back to what you were doing" made me laugh!

Ep 6 Ok WTF, how the hell is Mason back!? Didn't he die? Like really dead dead?! Damon showing Elena the pressure points? Could he be more sexy? Could she want him more? Great little moment. Don't care about Jeremy, Matt and the ghost shit. Stefan is even hotter now he is bad With the occasional bursts of catching drunk Elena and being sweet. Tyler you moron. I thought they killed him to! pretty sure Damon ripped his heart out wonder if he is a ghost?? how he linked to Damon I don't know but because that ditz got Matt to cast the spell his ghost would become real.
Damon/Elena moment is great, I wondered when we would see more touching because the sexual tension is there with them is was very well done and again great acting!
I loved Stefan to, I agree Loz. I find it pretty awesome how Damon is cleaning up Stefan's kills because at the beginning when Damon arrived Stefan was cleaning up after his brother!.
Tylers been Sired and has a master! that made me laugh but I am quite sad because I like Carolines character & they were cute together.

I agree with everything you have all said. I love both Damon and Stefan. Oh Elena has it so hard. Did anybody else love the Buffy line Damon said to Elena? Loved it and that entire scene. Oh and I don't think Katherine's dead. Can you really kill a vampire just by draining some of their blood? |

I have seriously never seen a triangle where both options are so very enticing! I'd still chose Damon, but chosing Stefan wouldn't be a bad move. I wasn't sure if it was draining blood or ripping out the jugular there. I doubt very much Karherine is dead. It's Katherine. But she may be in trouble. This show remains awesome. Its the highlight of my TV shows by a long way at the moment. |

OK, so, I've been keeping up with the current season but am starting the first two seasons tonight. I'm watching the pilot right now and it's interesting to see how Stefan and Damon are actually introduced in the show, because it's opposite of what I've seen so far. I like the current graphics better, although that's really neither here nor there. We'll see how far I get in season 1 tonight.
Edited to add my thoughts on episode 2:
Wow is Caroline vapid! She didn't seem so bad in the episodes from season 3, but at the beginning she's very different. And Damon's an arse. It's very, very weird seeing him like this. I'm looking forward to seeing what triggers the changes in him and Stefan to see if I'll continue to feel this way about them or revert back to my season 3 feelings. I'm liking Bonnie, which I think is good. I don't necessarily like her much in Season 3, so maybe that will change now.

I've now seen the first 8 episodes and am loving it so much more now! I am way into Stefan and Elena and am hating Damon and while his character's great am just wishing he'll go away because he's an arse (although I love him and Elena together in season 3, so we'll see if I still feel that way when I get through the first two seasons, which I hope to finish before Thursday's episode--good luck to me).
The "council" or whatever the group is called with the mayor and sheriff, etc. who know about the town's history with vampires explains a lot of stuff that I've seen with the adults in season 3--or at least it's starting to.
I'm very confused about Vicki. I liked her with Jeremy. If they hadn't both been addicts I think they could have been great together. Tyler's (I think that's his name, yeah?) a huge jerk! I'm not sure what Vicki ever saw in him. Jeremy was high most of the time and still treated her better than Ty. Caroline is still vapid, but at least she knows it, I guess. I'd like to see something between her and Matt. Not necessarily an epic love story, but maybe the start of a new friendship. I think Matt could be good for Caroline.
I'm wondering how long it will take for Elena to find out that Stefan knows that Bonnie's a witch, and for Stefan to find out that Elena knows. And, of course, I'm waiting for Damon to figure it out, given her talisman zapping him and all. What's with Damon and the bird, by the way? It's just creepy. And I can't believe that Damon set Lexi up like that. Well, yes, I can, because I saw it coming as soon as he mentioned the party to Caroline, but I was kind of hoping his plan would get interrupted somehow. I liked Lexi, dang it! I'm definitely interested in finding out what his diabolical master plan is. I have no clue yet.
OK, that's enough for tonight. I'm definitely loving the first season so much more than season 3 right now, and I'm sure that, in return, once I finish catching myself up I'll be able to enjoy season 3 all the more for having watched 1 and 2. I can't remember being this into a show since BtVS--well, and Doctor Who, of course.

I can't believe I forgot to mention how great it was to see Elena training & to see her stake Stefan. She should have some basic combat styles and I loved Alaric being both tough & soft with her at the same time. Your thoughts on Damon being an Arse won't change, he is still an arse but along the way we get to see who he can be, all he needed was a reason, something or someONE to believe that he didn't have to be the monster. Marie there is a big surprise in there about how both Brothers became Vampires which might surprise you. Have you seen that yet? Season one was so explosive, I didn't know how they could top the storyline of it and they did, again & again! |

Yeah, Nico, I've seen the first 10 episodes now, so I'm all caught up with Katherine. Well, at least enough. I don't know the exact details, but I know it was her. I can't say I was really surprised. Some of the conversations between the brothers hinted at it from the very beginning.
I'm just getting more and more and more intrigued and have too many thoughts to be able to even post them all--plus it would probably be boring to you guys since you're all caught up anyway. I missed tonight's episode, so that gives me a few more days to try an epic catch-up before I watch it online. We'll have to see if I can actually make it happen. And I'm loving the music!
