I wasn't impressed with the Season 4 opener. First of all WTF re the fairies. That isn't even close to what happens in the books and while they probably aren't planning as far as having 10 seasons of True Blood at the moment I HATE what they did to Claudine's character, fairies aren't supposed to all be "bad" like that. Some yes but not all. I don't expect it to be exactly like the books, none have been but still I don't like changing things THAT much. Argh. Sookie being gone for a year I will grudgingly accept as probably a good idea with moving everyone else's stories along faster. She was far too quick to be talking to Bill though. This is the first True Blood episode I've found myself not interested in  It would have been far better to have the opening with Eric running down the road naked like in the book  I know they have to set up the witches and all the other characters but that one scene could have at least made the ending! |

Episode 2 was a bit better. Eric wasnt naked but he did have his shirt off walking down the road.... As for the fairies being different etc, I have no desire to read the books and I know the show is on a different track from them, so it didn't bother me really. Just thought it was abrupt. I don't like Aunt Petunia or the coven at all.

Episode 2? How have you seen that, it hasn't aired on HBO yet  Unless you mean the preview looks better. Coven isn't supposed to be liked. I know it will be different and I hate the fairies in the books but the way they did things with it made no sense and yes was very abrupt. I didn't like it. |

Why would I mean the preview? It was on HBO Direct as soon as Ep 1 was over (because of the ID long weekend they didn't want people to miss out apparently) and I got it by the usual means on Tuesday. |

Eps 2,3,4 have been great. Mind wiped Eric amuses me greatly. And is extremely attractive Alcide is delicious. What a wonderful scene by the lake in Ep 4...... And now for a shocker. Sookie isn't annoying me!!  The scene with her and Bill on the porch was damn good. AP acted the shit out of that moment. Other thoughts: * Dont trust Debbie * Jason should have stabbed Crystal. Hate her. * Sense trouble for Sam * Tommy you are a moron * Wow Marnie is a loser * Don't mess with Pam! |

We finally caught up and wow this season is going to be the most far away from the books as any of them I hate how fast Sookie seems to have forgiven Bill. Other than the scenes with Nan Flannigan Bill's story bores me. I hope they fix Pam's face fast. If they kill her off I am boycotting the rest of the show - she and Eric are by far the best reasons for watching it! I loved drunk Eric Witches story is boring so far. I'd prefer Marnie to actually be evil and not just a host for evil. |

Ball said at Comic-Con that they have basically abandoned the books  But assured everyone there was a shower scene so don't fret. The trailer they showed for the rest of the season was pretty damn epic. I'll try and find it. Trailer - In the coming weeks..... |

They haven't completely abandoned it, the witches were the "big bad" in the books, Eric had amnesia, Jason becomes a were-panther... but it has all been done differently. Which is fine with me, though book 4 was my favourite.

This amused me The “sausage party” by the lake. Paquin refers to the scene in the last episode, which she shares with a naked, swimming Skarsgard and a naked growling Joe Manganiello (who's in rehearsals for his new movie) as the “sausage party.” “I’m 5-4 and ¾ and Joe Manganiello is a foot taller than me. Episode 5 Was it worth the wait?  Yeah for a "first kiss" it wasn't too shabby at all. I rewound once i have to admit. Cannot wait for asshat Bill to walk in on that next week And Sookie still isn't annoying me!! Its so strange. While i enjoyed the episode there was a bit too much going on. And a lot of stuff i don't care about. Because seriously, i don't give a shit about Tommy. Was interested to learn that gators like marshmellows though. That's cool. The "demon baby", "demon doll", "Ghost of Renee" thing is another thing i don't care about. Though the exorcism scene amused me greatly. Jason seems to have recovered very quickly..... Of course the Jessica thing is going to happen but considering they barely have had any screentime together over the years i hope they ramp it up a bit more. Random, tiny Alcide scene. WTF?? Tara continues to shit me. Just go away. Please. It only takes an hour or so to get to Mexico?? Ok then. |

The Alcide scene needed to be there I think, in the book the werewolves are heavily involved in the fight against the witches but it is hard to tell if they are going there with that or if the guy that turned up is Luna's ex. Jason recovered far too soon but I suppose he did have vampire blood to heal him. His storyline bugs me. So does Tommy's because I don't care enough about him to care at all about what he does. Arlene and Terry's story is ok I guess, but that is only because I love Terry. I want them to fix Pam Bill continues to be annoying, I really don't like him. He's a totally different character this season than he was last and I don't trust a thing he does or says. Mmm Eric. <3 |

Last night was.... Interesting. The mechanics of Eric and Sookie together made me laugh. Nice couple of scenes though. Hoping for more next week  I'm liking this season a lot. I really want Tara dead though. She irritates me no end. |

This new Eric is not how I pictured him when I read the book... but he's still cute  I'm very curious about the doll. Tommy shifted to look like Sam - that can only end in trouble. So Alcide said a person doesn't get changed just by being bitten, so where does that leave Jason? Tara? pfft do away with her! |

I wanted to beat the crap out of 3 characters this episode. Tara - just leave town already. Please. Tommy - I hope you're dead. Seriously, you big tool, you big asshole. Bill - I could not hate him any more. At least he let Pam and Eric go eventually. I want Pam fixed I don't like rotting Pam, I like bad ass Pam. Interesting that they set up Marnie being far worse than the vamps in the scenes with Jesus and Lafayette. Obviously she is the big bad of the season but vamps in general are still pretty bad Jason will turn... I'm not sure how they will work it now but it is a big part of the books so I don't know how they could leave it out. But who knows, he isn't a policeman in the books either and Hot Shot folks aren't completely round the twist Did anyone else feel like a whole lot of nothing happened this episode? |
