Crotia V Turkey was crazy, so exciting after the 90 minutes!, first penelty shoot out of the competition and my god Croatia were absolutely hopeless, croatia scoring in the 28th minute of extra time and then Turkey equalising on the 32nd minute of extra time! wow.
I like to know how each team is playing before we put our bets on, so I have to watch every game, and I have hehe.

Holland crashed out! I'm in shock! I watched a bit of the game and they were still 0-0 when I left the house so I was really shocked when I came home to check the results and it ended 3-1. Russia are the new Greece!

Tell me about it!, Croatia, Portugal and Holland the three teams that were threw top of the group that they all rested players in there last group game!. Holland were bad, Russian ran them ragged and the scoreline should have been more than it was!. Did you see Croatia taking penelties? , they were really bad, one went in, one was saved and two missed completely! . Spain/Italy Tonight, really cant wait!

Too many games decided by penalty shootouts. Spain/Italy game ended that way as well. I never liked how games are decided that way. I feel it's unfair.
So the semi-finals would be Germany/Turkey and Russia/Spain. I think it would be awesome if both Turkey and Russia go through to the finals. Go underdogs! ;D
I honestly have no idea who I will support. :-\

So Spain did end up winning, huh? I fell asleep before the game ended, and didn't think to check on who won when I woke up. I was rooting for Spain, but their playing didn't really impress me today. The Spain/Russia matchup will be hard for me. I'll probably end up rooting for both sides. And I think I'll end up rooting for Turkey. I'm always a sucker for the underdog.

Is there a website I can go to to see when they'll air the rest of the finals in the US? I mean, other than the US TV Guide site, because they don't always get it right. I'd hate being all geared up for the finals like this and then miss them because I don't now when they're airing.

I have no idea. Maybe you should check out the TV listings for the sports channels, like ESPN? Which channel showed the Spain/Italy? Usually it's the same channel that would show other matches.

I should have thought of checking that website, Irene. And yes, it was ESPN. Thanks for being so smart! My brain has been rather mushy all day today.

You're welcome. Germany and Turkey are playing tonight. The firm favourites are Germany here but I'm not going to put my money on it. Turkey can't be taken lightly so this shouldn't be a easy match for the Germans. I'm going to stick my neck out and say that Turkey would win this by the odd goal. ;D

I definetly agree, Turkey have reinvented the word 'Underdogs' ! , The Germans haven't been overly impressive but the are fierce in front of goal. Can't wait to see the Russia game, they played brilliant against Holland, what a show they would put on!. I know Steven watches the games in the States, usually a day after they show here, i'm not sure he understands any rules though and I refuse to go over the offside rule! .

I understand enough of the rules to not let them bother me when I'm watching. There have been a couple I've never quite understood, but it's like that in hockey, too, and I've been watching that since I was 6, so I might just be hopeless when it comes to rule following. They're showing the games here today and tomorrow, so I'm excited to see them. Irene's been filling me in a bit, so between what the two of you are saying, it sounds like the Spain/Russia game could be quite an interesting one.

Well Marie, I watch hockey when its on sometimes (2am here) and I dont understand the rules, but I understand the point system, and I definetly still enjoy it . I cant believe Germany beat Turkey, they should consider themselves incredibly lucky that they scraped threw , not that I saw much of the game BBC1 kept bloody cutting out!, they said it was happening all over the world because of a storm where the game was being played, can anyone back this up? . Marie I'm guessing/Hoping you already know the score from that Semi-Final right? I dont want to be 'that' person, you know, the one who goes around throwing big spoilers everywhere

I hadn't heard the news yet, but I would have found out sooner or later. The game's already aired here, but it was cutting out just like you said, and so I stopped watching. It would have been too confusing. I figured I'd find out who won in here, instead. From what I managed to see of the game, though, it looked like Turkey was putting up a good fight.

Bummer that Turkey lost. They were desperately unlucky. And for a team who has been hit by injuries and suspensions, it's awesome that they got this far.

Germany were lucky, they may of had game in the box, but they didnt really impress me.
Russia/Spain has been rather blah (though its only half time) I am rooting for Russia, I prefer there playing style, they constantly push and put pressure on there opponents.

I only saw the last half of Russia/Spain. THAT is the Spain team I know and love! Disappointing about Russia, though, because it looked like they had really been putting up a fight. Hopefully I can catch the finals Sunday.

So it's a Spain/Germany final. Should be a good game. I'm supporting Spain. I love their style of play. Their flair wasn't seen as much in the quarterfinals but they certainly had it against Russia.
If they play this way in the finals, they could come up on top. Go Spain! ;D

Lets face it, everyone who isnt German will be supporting Spain , the second half was great, whatever was said to the Spanish team in the locker room worked, because they started playing there style, passes threw players, one/twos , and you could just watch them all day When Spain went 1-0 up and it got to 80 minutes it was obvious Russia would have to push men forward and leave themselves open at the back, and its exactly what happened.

So I assume everyone is supporting Spain to win it? I hope I'm able to wake up early to watch this.
