So, Spain won. I couldn't see the game, but I'm happy for them. According to what I read about it, they played really good. And they had not won anything since 1964, so the wait is finally over.

Spain have been the team of the entire competition (which was almost Holland) but Spain were consistant and watching them play was a treat, Torres went for goal more with the absence of Villa (anyone notice that??) Torres had to get some balls and take his chances (which he hasnt really done this competition) but tonight he did, well deserved victory, I say best team won!.

The best team definitely won. The Germans were largely absent in the first half, especially up front. They look more into the game in the second half. More chances were created by the Spanish throughout the entire game I thought and it's a wonder why they didn't win it by a bigger margin. Is it just me or does the coach of Germany look a lot like Dan Scott of One Tree Hill?

LOL Thankyou Irene, I knew I had seen him some where before! I was glad to see that Spain didn't sit back and defend, teams usually lose goals because of that, but they let Germany make the mistakes by putting them under pressure, and Spain are a wee team, even there defenders are small, but my god they are fast I lost count of how many teams they got behind the German defence. Germany were rather lucky to get to the final, so Luck Vs Skill, it was nice to see skill win!. No football for what, a month? I can't remember when the pre season friendlies kick off, what will we talk about! .

I'm glad Spain won. They've always been my favorite team. I'm frustrated I didn't get to watch the game, though. I had every intention of watching it, and then went to a rehearsal all afternoon. I stink! From what I've been able to see and hear, though, it was definitely a game worth watching.

I know! It's going to be a long month. I'm not sure when the pre-season matches start either. But I usually don't watch them as pre-season are seldom shown on TV here (unless it's against a big club). I guess we can talk about the good old transfer saga.

Well my team have made a couple signings I cant wait to see them play. What about Ronaldo ? looks like he will be staying with Man U, but woah like 65 Million pounds was offered for him along with another player!, I think whatever his decision is, he will be leaving Man U soon, but probably not until his contract is up (like 2 years?) all it takes is one bad tackle and your football career is over, lets hope he only gets better!. I remember when my team paid 11million for Tore Andre Flo, it smashed the scottish transfer records and I was thinking 'WHAT! RIDICULOUS!!" and then I see that is a typical thing for English clubs!

The whole Ronaldo saga is ridiculous. I honestly hope we do sell him because I don't want a player who isn't interested playing in our club. I lost all respect for him when he came out and said that United should sell him because of his loyalty to the club. WTF?! Sir Alex can't stand players like this so I won't be surprise if he sells him next season. I would rather have two medicore but hardworking players than one ungrateful but talented player. Chelsea bought Deco and Jose Boswingwa, which isn't surprising seeing how their coach was the former Portuguese national coach. I haven't been really keeping an eye on the transfer market outside of England.

He has always been incredibly arrogant, I think he forgets that the fans are what keep the teams going his skill may take him many places but with no fan backing he will struggle. I love Deco, I think he is just fantastic, I enjoyed every match he played in, and he also played against my team in the Uefa cup, he is a great signing!. I dont pay much attention to the transfer market outside Scotland , except for Ronaldo because he has been whoring the news, Transfer market may lead to be a tricky conversation choice!

We'll try to talk about the transfer market as much as we can. If we run of things to say, we'll come up with something else! I'm actually surprise that Deco left for Chelsea. I thought he was doing well in Barcalona. Guess he wasn't. :-\ As for pre-season friendlies, United is playing Juventus on the 6th of Aug. I hope they show the game here in NZ.

Barcelona seem to a very uppity team, one day your in the next your out, maybe he wasn't happy? do you know if he wanted to leave or asked for it or something?.
My team play Liverpool soon, well, in August, I guess pre season friendlies begin at the same time, that is the only one I know about!.
In the topic of no football to discuss, If you could choose one player to take to Man United who would you take?

Barcelona seem to a very uppity team, one day your in the next your out, maybe he wasn't happy? do you know if he wanted to leave or asked for it or something?. Nah, I'm not sure. I vaguely remember reading that he wasn't getting enough football. At the moment, I really want us to get Klass-Jan Huntelaar, the Dutch striker. We only have two regular strikers (Rooney and Tevez) at the moment and I feel we really need another one. Huntelaar will be perfect. He's tipped to be the next Van Nistelrooy. According to reports, it's said that we are fighting with Arsenal for his signature. Some cover for our defense would be nice too though I don't have any names in mind. How are about? Which player for your team?

I am pretty much happy with our defence, our center backs are very strong, Strikers seem to be the obvious choice for my team, we have so many but they don't play well together. So far we have bought Kyle Lafferty from Burnley, Andrius Velicka from Viking FK and Kenny Miller from Derby. I am happy to see new faces in the team, we won 2 cups and got into the Uefa cup Final last season, but never won the league cup so hopefully we can regain that cup because it is the most important to me!.
Mutu & Deco are two players I rate highly and would love to have them in the squad, I'm not sure who else my team are hoping to snap up!

You guys bought Miller? I didn't know that. I always thought he was a little bit overrated. He didn't impress me that much when he was in Derby. But then again, the whole Derby team didn't impress me at all. I've only known Mutu during his Chelsea days and he didn't make the best impression then. But I heard he's doing really well (where is he playing? I can't remember).

We had a pre-season friendly last night with Aberdeen and we won 2-0 (Carrick and Rooney on the scoresheet). Didn't watch the match as it wasn't shown on TV here (not that I know of anyway). Not really sure when is our next friendly.
Also, Carlos Queiroz has left United to be the coach for the Portugese National team. So far a No. 2 hasn't been appointed yet.

Miller is over rated, a horrible purchase He started at rangers, and then we sold him to Celtic (our Rivals!) then they sold him to Derby and now we bought him back? I dont understand that purchase!
Queiroz is the new Portugal coach? how did I miss that!

Yeah, he is. Apparently, The Big Guns at Portugal have been after Queiroz ever since Scolari signed for Chelsea. I'm surprise though as I never saw Queiroz as the national manager type. The last time he coached a big club was Real Madrid and that lasted only a few months. Fergie is taking his time in appointing a No. 2. I never knew Miller was originally from Rangers. But then again, I never heard of him until he started playing for Derby.

United played a friendly last night againt Espanyol. It was also a testimonial match Solskjaer. We won 1-0 (Campbell the scorer). I'm gutted I wasn't able to watch this match. Solskjaer is my all time favourite United player and it sucks I didn't get to see him play his last match in a United shirt. Hopefully, the match ends up somewhere on the net.
