Oh, I'm sure he's pissed. But there's two levels of upset with him. The kind where he rants and raves and the kind that is just too deep and so he just seethes inwardly.

Didn't we just have an international break? Also, Marie, can you ask that Ronaldo guy to stop scoring? It's annoying.

Yeah, we did just have one. I think the breaks get closer and closer to each other each season! And no, I will not ask Ronaldo to do any such thing. That could mean that my team would lose, and I won't stand for that! Speaking of my teams, Spurs beat Fulham Sunday! Woot! It's been a while since they've done that. I'm very happy.

I haven't been keeping track with the Spanish league but what is Real's standing? Are they on top or is it Barca?

What's "going into administration"? I'm not familiar with that.

Just means that a club isn't able to pay off its debts and it's broke. The club will also suffer a 10 point deduction and be prevented from signing new players.
And because of the new financial rule that UEFA has created, they are not allowed to play in Europe (Champions League, Europa League) the following season.

Yes! They also get moved to the third division, Get 10 points taken off of them (which means no winning the league) get 3 cups taken from us (so that we no longer have 9 in a row) . It is insane. All because the guy who bought rangers was evading tax! so Rangers are counted as being his property and now are just trying to survive .
It's pretty sad not just for the most successful team in Scotland, my childhood team. Also for Scottish football.
They need to sell...and fast. They will probably lose their home ground as well. It's a mess!! I never in all of my years thought this would happen to a team like rangers :/ .

That's horrible! I know a lot of the Spanish teams have been struggling financially, but I've not heard that any of them are struggling with anything like what you just described! What a horrible thing for the players, administration, and fans who aren't involved in the club's financial issues. ETA: I just found this article. www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1597885.html Do you think the wage cuts will help as much the article seemed to allude they will?

Does administration not apply to Spanish clubs? I thought it was for all football clubs around the world - it's a FIFA thing. If not, Spanish football should take on administration rules. It would prevent clubs from over spending. Sure there are some things that can't be controlled by the club itself - like business men buying the club and then going broke - but it would definitely make the club think twice about selling the club to someone dodgy. I don't think a wage cut will help a lot. From what I heard, they are in really big trouble and only a new rich owner can help dig themselves out of this grave. But I could be wrong. I never thought a club like Rangers - with a huge fan base around the world - will be in a situation like this. You only hear about lower league clubs going into administration but not a club which has this much success in Scotland and Europe.

I think the only thing a wage cut will do is tell the fans that the players are dedicated to the team. The dodgy guy (Whyte) who bought Rangers signed some sort of deal to get a percentage of season sale tickets. Like 27 Million pounds over 3 years so to a new buyer that is going to cut away ALOT of profit. They do have some interested buyers including an American, maybe they will move Rangers to the USA and I can go to games again . On a good note Celtic came to Ibrox (Rangers' home ground) to win the title and we beat them! That shows you the only reason Celtic have the title is because of the points deducted it's bittersweet .

I hope no American owners take over. I dislike American/Arabic owners. They ruin the club in my opinion.

Does administration not apply to Spanish clubs? I thought it was for all football clubs around the world - it's a FIFA thing. Oh, I'm sure it applies. I've just not heard of any Spanish clubs that have gone into administration. I'm sure there are some, just don't know. The only big financial scandal that I've heard lately in Spanish football was about last season's players not being paid what was owed them. I don't remember hearing about that causing any of them to go into administration, but I never did read the final results of all the talks they had. I hope it all gets sorted out soon for the Rangers and a new owner is able to help turn things back to where they should be. In other news...Tottenham's killing me! We're really struggling to keep that 3rd place spot. And Madrid's match Sunday...there are no words.

I hope they do get that spot if it means Chelsea would lose out! Nico, did you hear about the Singaporean businessman wanting to buy Rangers?

Nice win over Barca, Marie. And at Camp Nou even. My boys, as usual, are making things harder for themselves.
