Wow. What an amazing night of football. I NEVER expected it to go down that way at all.

Are Swansea really crap or something? They are in top flight football for the first time in years (or maybe first time ever. I can't remember). They were tipped to be relegated but instead ended in 11th spot, beating most of the big boys. |

20. Ireland has one but not as well known as the English/Spanish/German/Italian one. It's like comparing the Aus league to the English (or Spanish etc) one. It's just no where near it. The Scots have a pretty good league though but I don't think you can compare their standard to the other leagues' standard. Only two of the Scottish teams can compete with other European teams, in my opinion. There was talk of those two teams joining the English league as they didn't find any challenge in the Scottish league but the fans were against the idea. |

I moved all our off-topicness here So Wales got a team in the UK League because they had a team that was good enough, Ireland don't because they aren't good enough, and Scotland don't because their fans didn't want them to move up? |

To tell a country they should send their 2 top teams, the only two teams who can actually compete against other Europe teams to England to play was ridiculous. Do they expect fans to travel to England every weekend!? The SPL is run by a bunch of idiots though |

It's all about money really. The English league will get all the money but not the Scots. It'll just be the downfall of the Scottish league.

Huzzah Chelsea! I was hoping they would win. When I first started getting into the English league when I was 10 or 11 they were the team I went for. Well, them & Arsenal.

My team is in the 3rd Division! Insanity. They were among the teams that created the SPL they have never been out of the premier league!

It's crazy that SPL dropped them so far! I thought they would be dropped down to one league below. But I'm sure they'll be back in no time. But it all depends on how many senior players are still left in the team.
Robin Van Persie is a ManU player. I'm so excited for the new season. Can you imagine have Rooney and RVP in your team?! ;D

Oh I have but I already posted my rant in another forum. Didn't bother posting it here as I won't get much of a discussion so... Anyway, I said that it's early days so I'm not worried. We are always poor at the start of the season, only hitting our stride after Christmas. EDIT: Argh! Thread is acting wonky. My comment didn't show and when I posted again, it did!  |

Those people have no class.  Swansea are doing really well. I like them, really enjoy the way they play. I hope they continue their good form from last season. They should beat West Ham. |
