Saw last week's double bill and I was disappointed in it. The second half was good but I didn't like the first half. I didn't understand the first episode. Why did Echo and Ballard want to break that Spanish girl out? How did Echo find Ballard? Where did Ballard disappear too? Does Boyd know that Ballard was taking care of Echo all these while? So many questions and not all answered! I was annoyed with the episode because of that. Oh! Did anyone notice the "Five by five" being said during Echo's flash thingy just before she broke out of the jail? Thought that was cool. ;D The second episode was waaay better. I always enjoyed Alpha so I definitely enjoyed this episode. I cannot believe they 'killed' my Ballard! I'm pretty sure he won't be brain dead for long. Alpha still has his imprint so I'm sure Echo will track him down to retrieve it. But still! My poor Paul.

They wanted to break her out of the jail because it was the right situation to train Echo wasn't it? to use her abilities to meet a goal.
Anyone watch the latest 2? Can't believe it's canceled and the plot just keeps getting better.
Plus... good to see Summer and Amy returning in the upcoming 2 episodes.

I saw the latest eps. I liked Victor's character so it's nice to see an episode focused on him. Adele was getting on my nerves in that episode! The Attic episode confused me a little but I enjoyed it a lot. And I glad to see Ballard alright again. I knew they had to make him a doll in order to get him back. Was Amy's character sent to the Attic last season? Can't remember why she's not around anymore. :-\

She left the dollhouse first episode of season 2... Oh god... Um she was upset about being a Doll without knowing it... Confused and angry at Topher for what he did... And i don't think she wanted to give the body back to the original client so she left for a better life.

I have enjoyed all of the latest episodes, the Attic ones were great but I still think the show had to be canceled, it started off so slowly and there isn't really much room for other storylines, I personally am sick of the damn side missions and the only reason I am loving these latest episodes is the lack of them!.
I enjoyed Echo breaking the girl out of Jail because I enjoyed seeing her tap into her personalities for each problem she was facing.
I like Victor, I think he is a great character.
I also loved the scene with all the dolls pounding on the doors and you could see the vague outlines of them, reminded me of scene from resident evil with the Zombies!

Last week's ep was great! I really liked it. It reminded me a lot of Angel and the gang plotting to bring down W&H towards the end of season 5. Whiskey killing Bennett....Wow! Didn't see that coming! Poor Topher! I liked that we get to see the backstory of how Bennett and Caroline became friends and how she was approached by Dollhouse. One thing I wasn't clear about was Boyd's role in it during the flashback. If he was just a handler for Echo, why did he need to come and try to persuade Caroline to join them? I was under the impression that handlers had nothing to do with the 'recruiting'. :-\ And so I'm clear, Boyd isn't the co-founder of DH right? The other guy was? I think I must rewatch the ending again.

What did you think of the finale, Nico? I thought it was a good finale. So sad that Ballard died! They killed him. Again! And so Wash-like too! And Echo's breakdown after his death was heartbreaking. I thought she was going to pull a Zoe and not react to his death but I'm glad she did! It showed that she can have human feelings too. Not sure what I think about putting Paul in her head though. I think it's suppose to come across as sweet and romantic but it just seemed a little creepy. I love, love, love the relationship between Topher and Adele in this episode. Adele has changed so much and I prefer this Adele than to the one 10 years ago. The end where they said goodbye to each other was heartbreaking. I think these two really pulled the finale for me. Without them, it would have been a pretty meh finale. Fran Kranz was great in this episode. He really did pull Topher's crazyness off quite amazingly. Topher has grown a lot during the last few eps and it was really interesting to watch. Such a sad but fitting ending for him. I really want to know what happened to Alpha?! Now he's good?! When did that happen?! I think that was the only failing point of the episode. They were able to explain Tony and Prya's falling out and why he became Victor quite well so I don't understand why they couldn't explain Alpha's sudden turn around. It annoyed me throughout the episode. All in all, it was a good finale. I enjoyed it a lot. Now I hope we don't have to wait so long for the next Joss show.

I enjoyed it! I was on the edge of my seat I had almost forgotten how well Joss writes season finales. When Ballard died I expected something to happen, he died so suddenly and Echo's breakdown over it later on was quite touching.
I don't like putting Ballard in Echo's head one little bit, it is majorly creepy and I didn't see it as romantic! it left me with a 'huh?' expression , living with your dead love in your head is not my idea of romance!. Although don't get me wrong I love romance, and I love the whole Ballard/Echo/Caroline thing, but the imprint was just weird!.
Yes! I loved Topher & Adele, we barely got to see any sort of human relationship between them both and this episode had it from start to end, I couldn't believe it was the same Adele, talk about Character development. It brought a tear to my eye when Topher went to check out the photos on the wall and the place exploded, I never thought I would see such a fantastic relationship from the two of them.
I loved Alpha, but I was confused also, I actually thought perhaps I missed something in the last episode or something, Alpha is a crazy mofo so what/why was he good, and did he buy the dollhouse? I can't remember why he was there and why the dolls were there.
It was a great way to end the show and I am glad I managed to catch the finale!

Yeah, the Alpha thing was confusing. Why did he take over the Dollhouse and 'stock' it up with Dolls?
I think maybe there were some hints on Alpha's transformation on Epitaph 1 - the unaired episode that is found in the season 1 DVD. I've watched the episode and I don't remember anything about Alpha changing into a good guy. So I'm majorly confused. That would have been an interesting story though. They should have dedicated an episode on that!

I might have to watch it, I remember someone telling me to watch the unaired episode before the last two, Alan Tudyk is just great but it is was weird to see Alpha hugging Echo and her hugging him back! really really strange, I expected a showdown!

A two hour finale would probably have tied up those loose ends.

I thought it was a 2 hour finale and was a little upset to see it wasn't, I guess all of the time slots were used up or something.

Would you be getting the DVDs, Nico? I don't think I would - but then again, there are some eps that are really good to have.

Probably not, there were only a handful of episodes that I actually enjoyed. Then again, if Steven wanted to watch the show we probably would get them just to add them to our collection but I wouldn't pay full price for them. Also would depend on the extras on the DVD, everyone loves them and most DVD's don't live up to expectations!.

I watched the first episode, Ghost, last night. I actually really liked it. I didn't think I would after seeing some of another episode on TV when it aired. So far I like Echo, Boyd, and the doc that Amy Acker plays of course. It's cool seeing Joss' name up again on TV, though it's sad because it didn't last.

Did you watch it on TV or did you get the DVDs?
I can't remember much of season 1 but I do remember that the episodes towards the end were good (when Alpha made an appearance).
