Very exciting! I really hope it lasts for longer than 7 episodes!

That is fantastic news! Not only is it Joss, but he's reteaming with Eliza. One thing that is a little disappointing (though unavoidable) is how many of Joss's staff from his other shows have moved on over the past three years. While it's great seeing episodes of other shows by them, it'd be nice to have them working on a Joss show again. Also, I hope that this isn't because his movie career isn't taking off like he'd have liked. There's been talk of a Giles telemovie, and now this. I mean, a couple of years ago, he was saying that he just wanted to concentrate on movies. That said, this should be cool. I love the concept, and it sounds potentially very creepy. It'll definitely be something different from him again.

I am not really a fan of futuristic type shows unless they have something extremly special about them, like Firefly, I will be excited to see this because it's Joss, and he makes Sci Fi/futuristic (Which i usually find dull and boring) extremly exciting!.
The creepyness is turning me away from it a little though, basically a doll who lives your fantasy and doesnt know shes doing it and then suddenly starts to remember, seems a little cliche, but I will watch it and give it a fair chance!

The creepiness isn't turning me off (yet), creepy can be brilliant, if done well. I think it'll be great to see Joss do something aimed at "mature" audiences, that doesn't shy away as much.

Oh, I'm totally excited. I wouldn't normally be like "Oh, a space western? Tops!" Yet with Firefly.... damn, that blew my mind! So, I think Joss has more than shown he can create wonderfully rounded 'verses and make them crazy and real and fabulous!

Yeah I think I'd be more excited if Eliza Dushku wasn't the main role. Other than I don't really care for her acting, but I like seeing Joss make newcomers into stars. I guess he is helping her out of the corner she got stuck in with the "tough chick" thing, and hopefully her acting has improved. And I'm going to have to agree with Nico and the whole doll house thing being kind of cliche. But Joss is a genius and I'm sure he can make it work. But I have a feeling it won't make it past 7 episodes (even though my fingers are crossed for him).

Frickin Awsome!!!!
I love the idea and I love Eliza! I really can't wait for this now. At lot of things sound Cliched like I thought Heroes was at first but given the chance its awsome and I'll support any Joss show till the end

I'm a bit meh about the plot but I'll give it a chance because it's Joss' project. I wasn't thrilled when I heard about Firefly but fell in love with it when I saw it so the same thing could happen. What I'm worried about is that this show is on Fox. I'm not putting my hopes up on this show having a full season much less running for a few years.

Yeah the plot does sound really odd. But I guess if anyone can do it, Joss can.

Variety has picked up on Dollhouse with this story. And I love the following quote from Eliza: "I even love my character's name, Echo. And I'm starting my training, so I can get into that 'Dark Angel'-on-crack shape where I can do everything."

I am so freakin psyched about Joss being back on tv! I'll even lift my ban on watching FOX (started as of the end of Drive). I'm not going to doubt anything about the potential of this project cause it's Joss and Eliza is the lead! Now where is my alter!

I just can't see this show finding a huge audience though, most people wouldn't check out this show based on it's description unless they are Joss fans, imo.

I wouldn't be sure of that at all. The shows with the "unique" angles are the ones that are finding the audiences lately.

Hmm..yeah, but the premise itself just doesn't seem that catchy to me, hopefully Fox advertises it well!

Catchy to you doesn't mean catchy to everyone, though.

In the latest issue of Wizard magazine, Joss mentioned that he'll continue with Dollhouse "the day the strike ends", so it looks like that it's not going to be a victim of the strike. He also went over the details that had previously been released about it (so nothing new).
