You don't always need to take comic covers literally. Take the #5 one for example... Not that I'd describe them as "friends", but definitely allies. It's a striking image. I wonder if there's a variant for #8. Dark Horse don't have it on their site...  |

darn beat me to it was just about to post it this is the best Jeanty cover so far i think. I didnt warm to his others but im really warming to this cover. i think ill end up getting both covers when they come out. |

I'm guessing she's just another slayer, but I guess all will be revealed come the story arc. I really like the variant, though. Quite funky. Oh, and the Dark Horse lighter actually exists. |

It looks like somebody took some sand paper to the top of Buffy's nose. And no, I don't have that lighter. If I was going to blow over $100AU on a lighter, possibly (but then I'd probably go for something different). |

still not a fan of the variant covers, to me they just seemed rushed, love all the jo chen covers tho. i wonder how many of them she will end up doing

The variant covers don't look rushed to me, but they're just not at Jo's standard. The Jo Chen ones go above and beyond, but the variants just look more like "standard" covers.

I wouldn't call it pushing the barrier, really. It's not like there's anything on display, and it's very tastefully done. It is a great image, though.

I don't think it pushed the barrier either. Like Allan said, it's tastefully done and it's one of my favourite covers. Faith looks better here than in the other covers she's on in my opinion. |
