I'm not fussed about the type or blend particularly, and it depends on what kind of mood I'm in. I do have a morning ritual of grabbing a big latte from the cafe on my way in to work (and I generally do drink lattes, often with caramel, while at cafe's). I wouldn't function without it. I was doing this competition and I had to stay awake for 24hrs in order to complete the task. They had coffee around so I thought I try it to keep me awake. It tasted horrible but it did do it's job. If you really want to stay awake, eat instant coffee straight. That'll do the trick.

It's not something I'd try a second time. I think it's more the shock of the taste than the caffeine that keeps you awake.

I really don't get decaf. And I hear it tastes worse than caffeinated coffee, so why bother, rather than moving onto hot chocolate or something?

Decaf is poison.

I've only ever tried decaf once it wasn't good

Never tried decaf so I have no idea what the difference is between decaf and regular coffee.
I assume, decaf is coffee without caffeine?

Yep, it's without caffeine. Defeats the entire purpose.

Yeah exactly. Why drink coffee when there's no caffeine in it? You might as well drink water.

I haven't had caffeine in three weeks, and I'm still getting headaches.

I've still got a headache but the coffee is helping a lot. I can take another panadol in an hour.

Caffeine is great with headaches. But I don't know if that's because the headaches are just caffeine induced, or that it's soothing.

It does seem to make sense. It's just one of the many benefits of caffeine.

Caffeine can apparently help some kids with ADD/ADHD! You'd think it'd do the opposite, but apparently it can work.

I find coffee calming so I wouldn't be that surprised by that. I haven't had any in 3 days
