I'm finally catching up on reading this again, hopefully I'll be all caught up in a few days. I'm really liking that Clems involved, cause we all know how much I love Clem I also like the dominion bar, as someone said earlier, anyone could show up. Thats all I got for now cause I have to go back and re-read. Don't remember much of what happens.

oopps hadnt realised 5 had been posted, i really enjoyed it. didnt think that i would as im not a huge fan of fairy tales, even if there made darker but this really worked, congrats on another great ep. really looking forward to the next one, i really like the idea of fred clawing her way back or even sharing the one mind, a schizophrenic illaria would be awesome, could make for some really funny dialogue

Glad you enjoyed it, Paul - even if you're not a fan of fairy tales. That said, although it had a fairy tale setting, I went for a story about someone being robbed of their chance for revenge. As for the Illyria/Fred situation, the next episode does expand on it. I also hope that it will make the readers care about the situation, and it should lend itself to some interesting stories down the track.

Okay, I'm almost caught up. I've read 1.02-1.04 since I last feedbacked, and I've got to say, I'm really loving the series. As I said before, all the original characters are wonderful, and I can't wait to see them develop even more. I especially like Shell's character, and can't wait to read more about her backstory, and her connection with Seneya. All of the small story archs along with the larger ones have been really good so far. Nothing has really seemed filler at all, which is always good. One small, little nitpick, though. When reading Spike's dialogue, the apostrophe in almost every word was getting on my nerves a bit. Yeah, I know he has an accent and all but I don't think it's necessary to write the accent in to the dialogue so much. Yeah, for some words, I understand...it's just a lot of apostrophes to look at and some words it takes me a few seconds to figure out what they are. Like I said, it's a tiny nitpick. Otherwise, the series is great so far.

Thanks Daddy, much appreciated. Queen Lurks-a-Lot, thanks for the comments. I'm glad that nothing seems like filler (so far), and the season is building towards a big finish. Most of the stories so far have been fairly stand alone, though the season will really be focusing on the "big picture" soon - episode 7 plays into it, with episodes 9 and 10 being a two parter which kick the series into high gear. I'm glad you like the original characters. I didn't want to rely too heavily on existing characters, but really want characters who are enjoyable, and seem to fit into the world on their own merits. Thanks for your comment on Spike's dialogue, I'll take it on board and give it some thought before his next appearance. In a similar vain, when you read 1.06, I did a similar thing with another character (you'll know it when you see it). I'd be interested to see what you think of it - the accent's different, so it required a slightly different tactic.

Thanks, Paul. I'm glad that Kalinka's affecting people now, one way or the other (Marie mentioned to me that she likes her less, after this episode ). I definitely want people to care about her one way or the other, which is what the episode set out to do, because she will be playing a lerger role in the season. As always, your comments are appreciated, Paul. Thanks! Btw, I've just wrapped up act 1 of episode 1.08, though I will probably hold off posting it for a little bit, so there isn't a huge wait between it and 1.09.

just read 1.08 allan, and i really enjoyed it. have no complaints about it at all, you seem to have the pace of the series perfect never revealing to much or to little each ep. and i liked how it finished on a bit of a cliffhanger, great work

Thanks, Paul. The episode really isn't my favourite, and I think that's due to a lack of character moments in it. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it didn't seem to "click" for me. I'm writing episode 1.09 at the moment, and am part of the way through act two, and it at least seems to be clicking a little better for me. I'm trying not to reveal too much in it yet (which is killing me ), though it will start revealing more through the second half of the season - I just need to make sure I don't flood the latter episodes with info over story. Thanks again, Paul, your feedback is always appreciated.

The next episode should only be about eight hours away, so it's not too long to wait. As for me not being overly keen on 1.08, I don't know what it was about it. It could be that I had trouble writing it (more than usual), and that turned me off a little. It could also be that because it's a two parter, it didn't feel like it had as much of a resolution. I just didn't feel that satisfied when I was done writing it. Personally, I prefer 1.09 (so everyone will probably hate it! ), and think the story works better (even if it is a little longer).

Yeah, the duck thing is pretty great. "Mark of the Tengu" is one of my favorites, too. I think Allan did a great job with that episode.

I'm glad you guys liked the duck thing. I wasn't sure how it would play out in words (since it's not something I can film), but it seemed pretty funny in my head. And thanks for the kind words about "Mark of the Tengu", I actually had an easier time writing it than I did with most episodes. Interestingly, Marie mentioned to me while beta-ing it that she was wondering what you'd think, Paul. She must have figured you'd enjoy it.

Yeah, I had the inkling that he'd really like it and was curious to see if I was right. I'm glad he did, though, of course.
