Doesn't it bother you having incomplete dvd collections?

If I enjoy a show I will eventually get it all if it is a big series, but sometimes the DVDs are way too expensive. (Even if I am not as big a fan of the last season - but if the show only ran for say 2 seasons and I wasn't that fussed on the second I won't necessarily bother.) Castle for example season 2 is out but I'm not paying $60 for it. So my collections can take awhile to complete. Went to buy Season 2 of JAG today and it was $55 - I think not!

I only buy DVDs that I want the whole complete seasons for. I hate having just one season of a series and not having the rest. It actually annoys me.

That's why OTH is bugging the hell out of me. Am now thinking of getting s5&6 at least.

Yeah I don't really care if my seasons are complete. Most are or will be, but I don't see much point to buying a season I hate and won't watch.

I can count mine on one hand I haven't really wanted to own many of my shows other than Buffy, Firefly & all of the stargates I will add to it eventually though .

Yours must not look real pretty with all those single seasons then mate I like them to be complete because I think you should have the whole story. Even if some of it wasn't as good I mean I have 10 seasons of Beverly Hills 90210 and I'd say only about 4 seasons of that was worth watching

I need special shelves made I think. I can't fit TV shows in alphabetically and its a little annoying. Though i'm running out of space in general. I think Shaun and I will need that room Nico mentioned

With the exception of a couple of those series when the prices come down they will be complete. We don't have unlimited funds to spend on DVDs, I won't pay full price for them. I did post that already

I would love to have the extra space to have alot more tv shows, I like to have most our dvd's put away I only leave the pretty box sets out and now Emily is crawling they usually end up on the floor.

Do you buy the regular seasons? or the fancy sets? .

I buy whatever they have at the store and always buy them in the same packaging. I'm glad I completed Gilmore Girls as they recently changed the packaging for Aus and NZ.

However, I tend to buy them in region 1 as they have better packaging than the region 4s. So shows I really love, I would buy them in region 1. Shows like OTH and Prison Break are bought in region 4.

My grandmother brought me a few new DVDs yesterday. Among them were Deadwood 3, Weeds 5, Fringe 1 and Mad Men 4. She didn't realise I am also missing the third season so now that series is uneven which irritates me.
