WHAT A WEEK.... How many times have I watched this..... Oh about 25 Less than five weeks to go!! Captain Marvel was great. Brie is brilliant as Carol. Tough, strong, smart, talented, a nice hint of humour and clearly a big heart. SLJ’s young Fury is different to what we have seen before. Something certainly changed him.... The soundtrack is a dream for a 90’s girl like me. Best use of Just a Girl ever. Goose the cat almost steals the entire show. What a legend Gunn is back on GOTG!!! Good news IMO.

How does CM come back to Earth 25 years later and still look the same! So looking forward to Endgame. I don't think I've ever been this excited about a movie before.

Some thoughts; on first viewing, I felt like it's two different movies and not a continuation of one. Anyways, spoilers obviously under the cut. - when they traveled back in time for the stones, all those 'throwback'felt a bit like fan servicing but I didn't care. I loved it! Nice nod to the fans who have stuck through all these years. - I was hoping Clint would be the one who will sacrifice himself 'cause he's my least favourite but of course it has to be Nat. Grr. - When all those dusted heroes appeared for that final battle, I was grinning so hard! - Cap wielding Thor's hammer MADE MY LIFE. - That final battle was a bit much but some note-worthy moments were Stark seeing Peter again, Captain Marvel returning (took her long enough), that all-female backup (!!) and...ok, I'm sure there are a few more but that's all I can remember. - Stark dying hit me harder than I expected. - I was prepared for Cap to die. I was 90% sure he will and the other 10% thought he'll just 'retire' and pass on his shield to Bucky. But his ending was WAY BETTER than any of my predictions. Omg, what a perfect ending for him. I couldn't be happier. He got his dance. - Surprise that we didn't get more of Captain Marvel. From the hype, I thought she'll play a bigger role. - A little disappointed that Sam was the one who takes over the shield instead of Bucky. But minor detail. Heh. - How does the past Gomora being in the present affect the third GotG I wonder. Would be interesting to watch. - I know it was said that time travel doesn't work like how all the movies theorized but I'm a bit confused as to how the past Thanos and killing past Nebula not affect the present? - Ok, how does Stark doing the snap dusted Thanos and his army only but not 50% of the population or the whole universe like it was intended initially? I mean, Thanos was about to do the snap to destroy everything but it doesn't work the same with Stark? How so? Was that explained?

Not sure on that either.... Plus, doesn’t putting the stones back in the same spot mean the same thing will happen again?? Maybe that’s other movies in my head and I’m meant to ignore it, but doesn’t that mean an infinite loop of this happening and getting fixed??

Wasn’t it essentially a case of put what you want to happen in your head, snap and bang??

- I would assume that killing past Thanos means that Thanos doesn't exists anymore from 2014 onwards so the same thing won't happen again. And it also bring up the plot hole of Cap's story. He goes back to marry Peggy which pretty much rewrite their history. Sam - technically - shouldn't know who Cap was anymore right? Cause history from the moment he got married to Peggy has changed.
Also, this would mean that Peggy won't get married to her original husband and have kids and thus Sharon wouldn't have existed right? That would also affect the timeline and pretty much everything else.
So...what?? Are we suppose to pretend all these wouldn't happen? Lol.
- Yeah, I thought that would be case as well but I wasn't sure if an other explanation was mentioned. It would make sense why Thanos would be able to dust everyone and not just 50% this time round.

I read that theory too, so I’m guessing so.... I’m watching again today. I’ll see if it makes sense with that in mind!!
Sharon is Peggy’s niece, not her daughter. I thought in the MCU she didn’t get married, because she didn’t get over Steve (understandably!) Edit: It makes sense second time. But I believe there are a few things you should just not think about too much

There’s a theory going around that the guy who Peggy married wasn’t named in MCU so it could have been Steve all along. But that would mean he kissed his niece.
The other theory is that Cap didn’t put back the stones immediately hence, the timeline diverged. So there’s an alternate timeline where Steve marries Peggy. Once he had his ‘fun’, he put back the stones, the timeline merged back to one, and the timeline is restored as we know it.
This kinda makes more sense to me. I’m gonna wait for it to show in the US and wait for all the theory videos to come out. And I’m sure the writers will have to come out and explained cause many people are already questioning the whole thing. Hahaha. Also what do you think of Cap’s ending overall? A lot of fans aren’t happy with it, saying it’s very out of character for him to do what he did. To me, Thor’s story was out of character - not the ending but how affected he was by the whole thing. It just seems odd.

I enjoyed it but I agree about Thor. I know they needed some comic relief and it was meant to represent PTSD, but it was so out of character and reduced him to a joke imo. I tried not to think too hard about the time travel, there are always plot holes with time travel
